A dark period in history during which ten members of the Messer family ruled the UEE, starting from its founding by Ivar Messer in 2546 until the fall of Linton Messer XI in 2792.
During the oppressive regime of Linton Messer XI, a covert organization known as Anomaly emerged to provide operational intelligence to resistance groups opposing the Messer government.
Anomaly is comprised of a small unit of Advocacy agents who are disillusioned with the government’s human rights abuses. The group is led by Adrian Kellis, a high-ranking agent from the Ferron system, where his family operates a profitable server equipment business.
The catalyst that sparked a revolution among the people was the tragic death of a child worker named Anthony Tanaka in Borea, which galvanized the population. What began as a movement for reform quickly transformed into open resistance against the authoritarian regime.
In 2791, Messer XI accused the Ferron system of dissent. In response to these accusations, many wealthy residents began to flee the system.
Adrian’s father, the CEO of the family business, unexpectedly criticized the Messer regime for its allegations. Consequently, the family became a target for the government. Adrian managed to persuade his parents to escape the oppressive regime, but in retaliation, the government nationalized their company and froze the family’s assets.
After being discovered by the Advocacy, Adrian traveled to Xi’an space via the Bremen Beltway, just before agents arrived at their home to take him to a re-education prison.
During his time with the growing resistance movement and Xi’an, Adrian was reunited with his family. Together, they used their remaining resources to help a society on the brink of collapse.
Eventually, Adrian returned to the United Empire of Earth (UEE). At this time, an organization called Tide leaked details of the Massacre of Garron II to Spectrum.
Another tragedy struck when police forces on the planet of Vale killed over two hundred thirty peaceful protesters.
Having reached their breaking point, the people rose up and overthrew the government, thus bringing an end to the Messer era.
The UEE has returned the Kellis family business to Adrian, who transformed it into VEDA Protocol, a private company specializing in cyber operations and data transportation. Utilizing advanced server technology from the Kellis family, VEDA has expanded its operations, including data transport to the Ark, an information repository aimed at restoring the UEE’s reputation.
During a press conference for VEDA’s new initiatives, Adrian disclosed evidence of atrocities by the government and the Messer’s Advocacy. He expressed gratitude to the members of Anomaly for their contributions during the challenging Messer era, without revealing their identities.
UEE Imperator Corbyn Salehi has unveiled Project Archangel (Synthworld), a terraforming initiative in the Chronos system. However, the project has become a financial strain on the Empire, contributing to a growing disparity between the wealthy and the impoverished, and resulting in rising discontent among the populace.
The initiative faces further challenges following the unexpected passing of Corbyn Salehi due to health complications. Compounding these difficulties is the Kanis Caper, a scandal involving the misappropriation of funds by a senior foreman associated with the Synthworld project, which has exposed corruption within the UEE government.
In light of these events, leadership within VEDA Protocol has chosen to revert to its original strategy, emphasizing espionage and government oversight. This organization invests significant time and resources into establishing an intelligence network, recruiting operatives, and monitoring the military and political landscape of the UEE.
Additionally, the onset of the Vanduul War has been marked by a brutal attack on Vega II. In 2946, VEDA Protocol responded by acquiring military ships and artillery through the UEE Militia Mobilization Initiative, as well as incorporating small private military companies (PMCs) to bolster its security and naval personnel.
The VEDA Protocol protects humanity from various threats and enhances the quality of life through humanitarian initiatives. It operates on an apolitical foundation, emphasizing the well-being of individuals over the interests of any specific government or political agenda.
VEDA Protocol is an intelligence and security organization dedicated to protecting humanity from potential threats while serving as a watchdog for the UEE government.
The organization consists of an administrative office and five main directorates.
Intelligence analysis, strategic programs, and xenolinguistics.
Data transmission, cyber operations, and intelligence collection.
Technological research, engineering, and special projects.

The principles that inspired Secretary Marshall Leon to create the Ark information repository in 2794 have always resonated with our organization’s founders. Notably, the decision to keep the Ark apolitical has been essential.
VEDA Protocol investigates and neutralizes potential threats to humanity from internal and external sources.

The Vanduul pose a significant danger to humanity and are considered an outside threat. We are committed to supporting the UEE Navy and Civilian Defense Force (CDF) during the Vanduul War and providing security and humanitarian aid to population centers outside of UEE jurisdiction.

- Be honest and trustworthy. Trust is a limited resource, and deceitful actions waste it. Maintain honesty in all business and professional interactions.
4. Avoiding Harm
- Avoid causing harm to the organization or others. Actions that may harm the organization’s reputation or that of its individuals are counterproductive. The only exceptions are in defense of the corporation’s assets or unarmed citizens.

- VEDA Protocol prioritizes humanity over governmental politics. The organization does not support UEE politicians or political parties, but members are free to enjoy the benefits of UEE citizenship.
