History

[ 2546 – 2792 ]

  • The Messer Era

A dark period in history during which ten members of the Messer family ruled the UEE, starting from its founding by Ivar Messer in 2546 until the fall of Linton Messer XI in 2792.

[ 2790 – 2791 ]

  • A War of Whispers

During the oppressive regime of Linton Messer XI, a covert group known as Anomaly emerged to join the growing anti-Messer movement. Disillusioned with the government’s human rights abuses, Anomaly was led by Adrian Kellis, a high-ranking Advocacy agent from the Ferron system.

With help from SSN/CVAtv insiders, Anomaly contributed by disseminating encrypted intelligence to resistance groups using the news network’s communication arrays. They also conducted anti-propaganda operations and protected persons of interest and political prisoners from the Messer Advocacy.

The murder of Anthony Tanaka, a child worker in Borea, at the hands of an Advocacy agent was the catalyst that sparked a rise in open resistance against the authoritarian regime.

[ 2791 – 2792 ]

  • Born in Bremen

In 2791, Messer XI accused the Ferron system of dissent. In response to these accusations, many wealthy residents began to flee the system. Adrian’s father, the CEO of their family server technology company, stayed and openly criticized the Messer regime for its allegations. Consequently, the Kellis family became targets for the government, which nationalized their company and froze their assets.
His father’s unexpected resistance only accelerated his plans to go into hiding.

Anomaly gathered its remaining resources and extracted the Kellis family from the Ferron jsystem just before Advocacy agents arrived to take them to a re-education prison.

Anomaly used the Bremen Beltway to smuggle the Kellis family into Xi’an space. They coordinated with Xi’an sympathizers and other anti-Messer resistance groups. They used their remaining resources to return to the UEE and help a society on the brink of collapse.

At this time, an organization called Tide leaked details of the Massacre of Garron II to Spectrum. Tragedy struck again when police forces on the planet of Vale killed over two hundred thirty peaceful protesters. Having reached their breaking point, the people rose and overthrew the government.

[ 2794 – 2865 ]

  • A New Objective

After the fall of the Messer regime, the Kellis family transformed their server technology business into a new venture called VEDA Protocol, a private company specializing in cyber operations and data transportation. Utilizing their advanced server technology, VEDA Protocol saw rapid growth by transporting data to the Ark Station, a new information repository built to restore the UEE’s reputation to the rest of the verse.

During a press conference, Adrian disclosed evidence of atrocities committed by Messer’s Advocacy and his part in the resistance. He expressed gratitude to the members of Anomaly for their contributions during the challenging Messer era, without revealing their identities.

[ 2872 – 2946 ]

  • Modus Operandi

UEE Imperator Corbyn Salehi unveiled Project Archangel (Synthworld), a terraforming initiative in the Chronos system. The project has become a financial strain on the Empire, resulting in rising discontent among the populace.

The project faced challenges, including the unexpected death of Corbyn Salehi and the Kanis Caper, a scandal involving a senior foreman of the Synthworld project who misappropriated funds, exposing UEE corruption.

After monitoring these events, the leadership of VEDA Protocol reverted to their original modus operandi, espionage and government oversight. This organization invests significant time and resources into establishing an intelligence network, recruiting operatives, and monitoring the military and the UEE political landscape.

After the Vanduul’s brutal attack on Vega II in 2946, VEDA Protocol expanded into paramilitary operations by acquiring military ships and ordnance through the UEE Militia Mobilization Initiative. They also acquired small private military companies (PMCs) and other intelligence and investigative entities.

[ 2847 – Present ]

  • Knowledge is Power

VEDA Protocol aims to protect humanity from various threats and improve our quality of life through humanitarian work. It focuses on the well-being of individuals rather than the interests of any government or political group.

// ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

VEDA Protocol is a non-political intelligence and security organization dedicated to investigating and neutralizing internal and external threats to humanity. CitCom

Founded in 2790 by a small, clandestine team of Advocacy agents during the oppressive Messer regime, the organization was initially known as Anomaly. The group opposed its own government by conducting counter-propaganda operations, extracting persons of interest, and providing operational intelligence to anti-Messer movements.

The organization comprises an administrative office and five main directorates.

  • Research and Analysis

Intelligence analysis, strategic programs, and xenolinguistics.

  • Operations

Covert paramilitary operations, espionage, and Intelligence gathering.

  • Data Group

Cyber operations, data transportation, and intelligence collection.

  • Advanced Materials

Research and development, engineering, and special projects.

  • Support

Logistical operations, security, and industrial services.

// MISSION

The principles that inspired Secretary Marshall Leon to create the Ark information repository in 2794 have always resonated with our organization’s founders. Notably, the decision to keep the Ark apolitical has been essential.

We consider the following as internal threats:

  • 1. Despotic governments and corporations.
  • 2. Criminal, terrorist, and extremist organizations.
  • 3. Beings in possession of dangerous weapons and technology.

The Vanduul pose a significant danger to humanity and are considered an outside threat. We are committed to supporting the UEE Navy and Civilian Defense Force (CDF) during the Vanduul War and providing security and humanitarian aid to population centers outside of UEE jurisdiction.
