History

Vitalis Agronomics: A Brief Organizational History

Vitalis Agronomics was founded in 2956 by visionary frontiersman Praesul, who saw untapped potential in Nyx’s barren rock now reborn.

Just shortly after Genesis Terraforming’s revolutionary experimental breakthrough on Nyx I-which cooled the once uninhabitable, barren wasteland seeded and sparked diverse biomes across the planet. Praesul established the corporation as an independent, self-reliant operation dedicated to large scale agriculture and livestock rearing.

With no major agribusiness yet to be entrenched in the Nyx system, Vitalis positioned itself as a bold early contender: claiming expansive tracts of the newly greened frontier-world to cultivate hardy crops, raise resilient herds, and supply fresh produce and proteins to the growing colonies, mining outposts, and trading routes across the system.

The organization operates on a philosophy of independence and innovation-free from UEE subsidies or corporate encroachment-focusing on sustainable, biome-adapted farming techniques tailored to Nyx I’s emerging biomes.

Manifesto

Vitalis Agronomics—Manifesto

We are children of a reborn world.

In 2956, when most eyes were still hesitant on Genesis Terraforming’s breakthrough, Praesul looked at the same open meadows and saw something else: the first clean slate in generations. Soil that had never known centuries of industrial abuse. Horizons wide enough to feed a revolution. A place where food could once again mean independence instead of leverage.

We did not arrive with UEE grants, ArcCorp backing, or handouts from Hurston. We came with seeds, water collectors, stubbornness, and the belief that a frontier should not be owned by the first corporation to plant its flag.

Vitalis agronomics exists for one reason: to prove that free people on free soil can feed themselves better than any centralized monopoly ever could.

Our fields are not laboratories for shareholder reports. Our herds are not line items on a balance sheet. Every row we plant, every calf we raise, every crate we load on to a C2 is a small act of defiance against the idea that survival must be rationed and priced by someone sitting in a tower on Terra or Sol.

We chose Nyx I because it is far enough from the core worlds that ambition still has room to breathe.
We chose independence because dependence always comes with strings attatched.
We chose transparency because opaque supply chains hide exploitation.

This is not nostalgia from some mythical agrarian past.
This is a forward-looking wager:
that in the 30th century, on the edge of human space, honest dirt under honest boots can still out-produce any orbital hydro-factory or vat-grown protein syndicate.

We will fail sometimes.
Storms will come.
Pests will adapt.
Pirates will raid.
Markets will crash.
Rivals will try to undercut, intimidate, or simply buy the land out from under us.

We will still be here the next morning—because the alternative is not an option.

Core Convictions

1. Food sovereignty is the foundation of true freedom.

2. Land that can grow food should belong to those that tend to that land, not to distant boards of directors.

3. Profit is welcome: profiteering at the expense of the land, water, people, wildlife, and future generations is not.

4. A frontier dies the moment it stops believing new things are still possible.

Therefore we declare:

Vitalis Agronomics is not merely a company. It is a promise— to ourselves, to every pilot who is sustained by our product instead of synth-paste, to every settler who can feed their children fresh produce instead of Cal-O-Meal bars, and to Nyx I itself— that this world will not become another exploited frontier.

We plant today so tomorrow has roots worth defending.

Charter

Founding & Purpose

Vitalis Agronomics was founded in 2956 by Praesul on the newly terraformed Nyx I. Our purpose is to become the leading independent agricultural producer in the Nyx system by developing sustainable, large-scale farming and livestock operations on the planet’s revitalized lush biomes.

Core Values

Independence – We operate free from UEE influence, major corporate conglomerates, and external political entities.

Pioneering Spirit – We embrace the challenges, dangers, and opportunities of rugged frontiers.

Sustainability – All operations prioritize long-term soil & biome health, water conservation, and ecological balance on Nyx I.

Quality & Reliability – We deliver fresh, traceable food products to outposts, stations, and fleets across Nyx.

Community – Members are expected to treat each other with respect and cooperate for the achievement of our common goals.

Organizational Goals

  • Secure and develop 3-5 major farming estates on Nyx 1’s primary habitable band
  • Establish viable open-range livestock herds, sprawling planted crops, and domed hydroponic production.
  • Achieve consistent export shipments of various crops and proteins available in the ‘Verse.
  • Build a self-sufficient supply chain (Seed banks, water supply, equipment maintenance, on-site processing, export transport, asset security).
  • Grow to 50 active members who are farmers, haulers, ranchers, security, traders, and support specialists.
  • Become the widely recognized “bread basket” brand for independent orgs and settlements across the Nyx system.

Membership Expectations

  • Act in good faith toward the organization and its members.
  • Participate regularly (1-2 sessions per month) or contribute meaningfully when active.
  • Follow CIG’s ToS and CIG’s Org Rules
  • No piracy, griefing, or hostile actions against neutral parties unless in direct self-defense.
  • Respect chain of command during coordinated operations (Praesul or designated officers).
  • Help maintain a positive, frontier-family atmosphere
  • Zero tolerance for aggression, harassment, or belittling of fellow Org members. This will result in immediate termination from the Org.

Operational Rules of Engagement

  • Defensive posture only unless directly attacked or robbed.
  • All PvP must be consensual, roleplay-justified, or in direct defense of Org assets.
  • No stealing from or sabotaging other legitimate farming/mining/trade groups.
  • Disputes between members are to be resolved privately or escalated to Praesul/ senior officers.

Organizational Funds and Assets

Vitalis Agronomics maintains a clear distinction between personal assets (belonging to individual members) and organizational assets (belonging to the Org as a whole). This separation protects both the individual and the collective while enabling transparent and fair resource management.

Personal Assets:

1. Any ship, vehicle, weapon, armor, credit, commodity, land claim, or other property acquired outside of Org directed activities remains 100% personal property.

2. Personal ships and equipment may be voluntarily loaned or used for Org operations (see Use of Personal assets section), but ownership never transfers unless the member explicitly and permanently gifts or sells the item to the Org.

3. Personal profits from non-org contracts, private trading, bounty hunting, mining, etc. belong entirely to the member.

Organizational Assets:

  • Organizational assets include:
    • UEC held in Org wallet.
    • Ships purchased by or gifted to the Org and registered under the Org name.
    • Commodities, building materials, livestock, seeds, farming equipment, and infrastructure purchased or built with Org funds.
    • Land claims, outposts, ranches, structures, hydroponics, landing pads, freight elevators, and other fixed improvements funded or constructed by the Org.
    • Any item explicitly transferred to the Org by a member via gifting or an approved sale.

Use of Personal Assets for Org Operations

  • Members may voluntarily contribute personal ships, vehicles, or equipment for Org operations.
  • No member is ever required to use personal assets for Org activities.
  • When a personal ship/vehicle is used for an org contract or activity:
    • Fuel, repairs, ammunition expended during the contract or activity may be reimbursed from Org funds if pre-approved or receipts are submitted.
    • Cargo or profit generated directly from the Org-directed contract or activity belongs to the Org (unless otherwise agreed upon beforehand).
    • Damage or loss of personal property during Org operations is not automatically covered unless the Org has previously approved reimbursement for that specific use.

Org Wallet & Profit Distribution

  • All income from org-wide contracts, collective sales of crops/livestock, group mining claims, or other organization-directed activities goes into the org wallet.
  • Expenses (ship purchases, land development, module upgrades, farming structures, fuel subsidies, repairs, hiring NPCs, etc.) are paid from the Org wallet first.
  • Once essential operating reserves are met (3-6 months of projected upkeep and expenses) surplus may be distributed to active contributing members according to a transparent formula decided by leadership.
  • Active contributing members will always receive distribution of surplus funds according to their works.

Asset Transfer and Exit Rules

  • A member may request to buy Org assets (ships, equipment, armor, clothing, etc.) at fair market value or as otherwise negotiated.
  • Upon leaving the Org voluntarily or by removal:
    • Personal assets remain personal.
    • No automatic claim exists on Org assets or funds.
    • Any org-owned items in the member’s possession must be returned or purchased.
    • Outstanding loans or reimbursed expenses may be settled before final departure.
