We are still growing, and the story is still being written.
WE BELIEVE THE FOLLOWING.
I. NOBODY GETS LEFT IN THE BLACK. Not a member, not a hull, not a hold full of cargo — not if there is a way to reach it. The recovery run is never the optional part of the mission.
II. THE ORG RUNS ON WHAT WE BUILD AND HAUL. Fleets are downstream of ore, salvage, and cargo. The people mining at 03:00 are running the same operation as the people in the turrets, and they get counted the same way.
III. RANK IS RESPONSIBILITY, NOT PRIVILEGE. Command here means you are accountable for someone else’s night going well. Anyone who wants the title more than the duty is in the wrong org.
IV. SPECIALIZE. DON’T GET STUCK. Your pillar is your specialty, not your cage. Marines are welcome on mining ops. Industry is welcome in the fighter wing. We build dedicated teams without narrowing how you enjoy the game.
V. DON’T BE A DICK. Rule one, and it outranks skill, playtime, and fleet value. Respect people and their ideas. Racism, discrimination, and bullying end membership — there is no version of this where we debate it.
VI. LEAVE THE POLITICS AT THE AIRLOCK. Charged real-world arguments are boring, they change no one’s mind, and they cost us evenings. Take them somewhere else.
VII. PROTECT THE FUN. Everyone here has limited hours to play. Things will go wrong — ships will blow up, servers will misbehave, plans will collapse in the first thirty seconds
ARTICLE I — NAME AND PURPOSE
This organization is Void Corps. Its purpose is to bring like-minded members together, make organizing operations easier, and provide specialized roles with opportunities for shared reward.
ARTICLE II — MEMBERSHIP
1. Membership begins at Pro Tem: present in our Discord, free to come and go, and welcome to socialize. Pro Tem carries no obligations and no access to core org functions or benefits.
2. A Pro Tem becomes a Legionary — a full member — on approval by pillar leadership after taking part in org activity.
3. Membership is Discord-linked. Our operations terminal authenticates against the org’s Discord server; leaving the server ends access.
4. Members are expected to hold Void Corps as their Main Organization. Affiliate status is available for members whose primary commitment lies elsewhere and is granted at the Senate’s discretion.
ARTICLE III — THE PILLARS
1. Void Corps is organized into five pillars: Marines, Navy, Industry, Commerce, and Rescue & Recovery.
2. Each member selects one pillar as their primary specialization.
3. Pillar selection is not exclusive. Members are encouraged to participate in operations across every pillar.
4. Each pillar is led by a Senate seat, supported by a Praetorian.
ARTICLE IV — RANK AND COMMAND
1. Senate — senior leadership; sets direction and answers for the organization.
2. Praetorian — second of a pillar; runs its squads and Legati day-to-day, upholds standards, represents the pillar when its Senate seat is absent, and organizes and leads Org Night.
3. Legate — first tier of formal squad leadership; commands a squad, plans and directs operations, and is accountable for its performance and cohesion.
4. Centurion — a proven member who mentors newer members and acts as a trusted link between the rank and file and leadership.
5. Legionary — full member; expected to take part semi-regularly in core activities, support group operations, and contribute to org resources while receiving org benefits in return.
6. Pro Tem — Discord member, no responsibilities and no core access.
Promotion is earned through reliability, conduct, and contribution. During an operation, the assigned mission lead holds command regardless of standing rank.
ARTICLE V — GOVERNANCE
1. The Senate governs Void Corps and holds final authority on membership, promotion, discipline, and org policy.
2. Each pillar’s Senate seat represents that pillar’s interests in Senate decisions.
3. Leadership is expected to explain its decisions to the membership. Members may raise concerns to any Centurion or above.
ARTICLE VI — OPERATIONS
1. Operations are published to the org mission board with type, objective, and a scheduled date and time in a stated timezone.
2. Members sign up in advance. If you sign up, you are expected to attend or give notice.
3. Org Night is a recurring, low-barrier operation open to the whole roster and is organized by the Praetorians.
4. Operational details, mission plans, and org assets are for members only and are not to be shared outside the organization.
ARTICLE VII — THE TREASURY
1. Void Corps maintains a shared treasury of currency, materials, and assets, tracked openly for members.
2. Contributions to the treasury are recorded and credited to the contributing member.
3. Treasury resources fund org operations, replacements, and member compensation for specialized work.
4. Compensation and payouts are determined by leadership and are visible to the membership. Treasury assets are org property and are not for personal liquidation.
ARTICLE VIII — CONDUCT
1. Don’t be rude.
2. Be respectful of others and their ideas. Racist or discriminatory language, statements, and bullying are grounds for immediate removal.
3. Do not dominate comms by yelling over or excessively interrupting others. Interruptions happen in large groups; deliberately steamrolling people does not.
4. Refrain from political discussion and other charged topics that cause arguments.
5. Remember this is a game and people have limited hours to enjoy it. Members who are persistently negative when things go wrong are a poor fit for this organization.
6. Enforcement escalates from a word from a Centurion, to leadership review, to removal, in proportion to the conduct. The Senate may remove any member for cause.
ARTICLE IX — AMENDMENT
This charter is amended by the Senate. Substantive changes are announced to the full membership.
Ratified by the Senate of Void Corps.
“Because you were out there.”
