Welcome to Vorpal Industries.
Vorpal Industries is a new start up organization made up of RL buddies who got together for Star CItizen. As the organization is new however we are not new to playing together across multiple genre’s of games. Games that have have a main focus on MMO’s. The experience we bring to the table are:
- Years of Leadership experience running Guilds, Clans, Guilds, Etc…
- Years of gaming experience throughout all genre’s of games.
- Mature gaming atmosphere that is laid back.
- A strong starting fleet for when the game goes live.
- Comms (Discord) in which you can keep in touch with the organization.
- A dedicated website you can access on downtime outside of the game.
- Fun!
We don’t enforce many rules to be apart of Vorpal Industries out side of Star Citizen being live. Just treat everyone how you would like to be treated, Because we just like to chill and have fun.
Space is tough. Why face it alone?
At Vorpal Industries, we understand that you don’t want an hourly wage and a boss who tells you what to do. Freelance work is an option, but the pay is sub-par and there’s minimal job security.
Vorpal attempts to provide the best of both worlds. You’ll be able to reap the benefits of working for a corporation; having teammates in every field will ensure you never have to worry about where to take your next haul, or whether pirates will show up to stop you. Our field ops will handle exploration, resource gathering, and transportation, military ops will handle security for all assets in the field, and headquarters will be in charge of managing the organization.
This organization is for:
Anyone who wants to maintain a certain level of independence and freedom without being completely freelance. Within Vorpal, we see ourselves as teammates, working towards a common goal in the most efficient way possible.
Vorpal Industries goals:
Short Term:
Our focus will be on securing and controlling an area of space, and performing fleet operations there. The Idris would provide a base of operations, while the Orion and Endeavor discover and harvest nearby resources. We won’t have any Hulls on release. Our members can choose one of several roles; we’ll need 3 roles for the fighting type; security for commercial vessels, patrols to secure our space and perform anti-piracy operations, and escorts for the transport fleet. The multi-crew ships will also need to be crewed by either players or NPCs. For those less interested in fighting, members can crew the Orion or Endeavor and perform mining or research operations, bring their own commercial vessels and use our fleet for support, or perform transport operations to export the resources and information we gather, and resupply the fleet.
Long Term:
Our long-term goal will be to expand on our short term strategy by sustaining permanent control over larger and more coveted areas of space, focusing mainly on complete star system control and permanent control of industrial bases. Our goal will be to create an empire; the majority of our members will be relatively independent resource gatherers and transporters. Players should be drawn to us by our reputation of granting them freedom and independence, while also providing security and support. For players looking to make the most money in-game, their best option should be to join Vorpal and operate within our space as explorers, resource-gatherers, and transporters. Our logistics team needs to be efficient at being able to give members work when requested. For a player looking for asteroids to mine, they should be able to ping our logistics liaison and be instantly pointed to the nearest field. When they’ve got a load they need transported, they can ping logistics again and have a transport crew there within minutes. If they detect pirates on their radar, they can ping security and have a pair of Vanguards there to deal with them before any major damage is done. If they were harmed in the battle, or need to refuel/resupply they should be able to ping support and have a crucible and starfarer head out to get them back up and making credits.
This is going to require a huge amount of top-down leadership. For players looking to get more out of the organization, they would apply for a leadership position. Based on their performance in their role, they may be granted a position as a squad leader with a couple members, and as new members are recruited they would be assigned to this squad. Squad leaders would be responsible for training and organizing their squad, making sure they know who to contact for various needs and acting as a liaison with the executive branch for concerns outside of normal operations. Those wishing to make more money would apply for a position in the logistics branch; these members would spend most of their time gathering and processing information, and due to the monotony of the work they would be well-paid. Most of these players would operate out of a capital ship, while some may travel to or stay in economic nodes and ports to keep track of market prices and ensure our resources are going to areas that need them.
