Welcome, Citizen!
You’ve entered The War Room, a minor Star Citizen organisation that blends the best of both worlds: casual gameplay and serious, large-scale ops. We are a grey area group of players/ Join as an organization representative or join as one of our own Merry Men!

The Merry Men Discord is a casual gaming server with a branch that focuses exclusively on Star Citizen. We play a lot of games together outside of Star Citizen, including PEAK, Minecraft, Baldur’s Gate, Barotrauma, Headliners, 7 Days to Die, Sons of the Forest, and more. We rotate fairly often when something new or popular hits Steam.
Outside of gaming, we host watch parties, have a community challenge coin, and have even had members meet up in real life from different countries. Our community chats while driving home from work, leans on each other for real support, and uses webcams to hang out and have fun together. We know each other’s kids, pets, work schedules, and, despite living far apart, have genuine friendships.
We have an organized group of Merry Men Rangers who do a little bit of everything in the verse. We are coordinated enough to form and run events while maintaining the casual side of Star Citizen, ensuring that no one feels like they are heading off to work.
We host medium-sized events attended by up to 20 people from both the Merry Men and affiliated organizations. We are structured around the idea of a “Band of Merry Men” to maintain our casual approach to gaming while having enough additional structure to ensure things do not become a disorganized mess.
Anyone can join our events or organization, provided they follow the basic structure that has been established and contribute positively to our culture.
We are not a military simulation group, a dedicated roleplaying group, nor do we have a military or corporate structure that reduces people to numbers or “meat bags in boots.” The foremost principle we promote is our community. The additional structure is applied specifically to Star Citizen events, not to everyday Star Citizen gameplay.
When you play with someone designated as an Admin, Moderator, Captain, or another leadership role, you are playing with a friend. Those leadership positions exist only to provide structure during events and help manage Merry Men logistics.
Our Star Citizen community thrives—and has survived—because of the emphasis we place on the broader Discord community outside of Star Citizen. Members can be part of our Discord and never see Star Citizen-related content at all, depending on the roles they choose.

Manifesto of the Merry Men in Star Citizen
United under the stars, for justice, freedom, and merriment.
Freedom Among the Stars
Defy oppressive megacorporations, corrupt UEE officials, Organizations that oppress players, and ruthless pirates who seek to control the lives of honest citizens. Stand as champions for the underdogs of the ‘verse.
Redistribute the Wealth of the Cosmos
Salvage, smuggle, or seize ill-gotten riches from the powerful and wealthy to provide aid, supplies, and credits to struggling outposts, abandoned colonies, and marginalized citizens.
Brotherhood in the Black
Forge an unbreakable bond among your crew and allies. Whether you’re dogfighting in the asteroid belt or repairing a derelict ship, loyalty to the crew comes first.
Black Ops and Hired Services
Provide our allies with the tools and resources needed to get the job done!
Protect the Wild Frontiers
Safeguard the untamed beauty of unexplored planets, asteroid fields, and nebulae. Sherwood Forest has become the uncharted corners of Stanton and beyond, where the free can roam without fear.
Bold Actions, Daring Deeds
Undertake daring raids on corporate convoys, stealthy rescues of stranded travelers, and audacious escapes from bounty hunters. Be fearless in the face of overwhelming odds.
Joy and Merriment in the Void
Whether it’s a raucous gathering in a space bar, an impromptu concert aboard your ship, or a prank on your crewmates, keep spirits high and morale stronger than quantum drives.
Defy the Powers That Exploit
Stand as a thorn in the side of conglomerates like Hurston Dynamics, Crusader Industries, and even the UEE when they exploit the hardworking people of the galaxy. Be the voice of rebellion.
Sanctuary Among the Stars
Create safe havens for those on the run—deserters, refugees, and freedom fighters. Your fleet is a mobile Sherwood, offering shelter and second chances.
Charter of the Merry Men
Established: Wherever the stars shine, and justice is needed.
We, the Merry Men, unite under a shared purpose to champion freedom, fairness, and joy across the vast expanse of the ‘verse. Rooted in camaraderie and a steadfast commitment to the oppressed, we strive to be a beacon of hope among the stars. From the bustling cities of Stanton to the furthest reaches of uncharted space, we uphold this charter as our guiding code.
Article I: Purpose and Values
Redistribution for Justice
We reclaim wealth hoarded by oppressive corporations, pirates, and corrupt officials to provide aid, opportunity, and resources to those in need.
Camaraderie and Loyalty
We are bound together by trust, loyalty, and respect. Our strength lies in our unity, and we will never abandon a comrade in need.
Protection of the Wilds
We defend uncolonized and underprotected areas of space, preserving their beauty and offering sanctuary to all seeking refuge.
Joyful Resistance
Through creativity, cleverness, and humor, we stand against tyranny. Laughter and merriment are weapons as powerful as lasers and missiles.
Article II: Membership
Joining the Merry Men
Any pilot, crew member, or citizen who shares our values and seeks to make a difference is welcome. Backgrounds matter not—only commitment to the cause. Members are welcome to be involved with multiple organizations, or join ours from another organization.
Expectations of Members
Article IV: Base of Operations
The Fleet
Our fleet is our Sherwood, a mobile sanctuary traveling the stars. It consists of carriers and cargo ships laden with supplies, exploration vessels charting the unknown, and fighters ready to defend our cause.
Hidden Havens
In remote asteroid belts, abandoned stations, and lush planetside outposts, we create safe havens for those in need of rest, repair, or refuge.
Article V: Vision for the Stars
We dream of a galaxy where no one goes hungry, no voice is silenced, and no dream is too distant. The Merry Men are more than a crew or an organization—we are a movement for hope, freedom, and joy among the stars.
Signed,
The Merry Men, Protectors of the Cosmos, 2944
