Welcome to the Company.
“Building Better Worlds — One Star at a Time”
Weyland-Yutani Corporation stands as one of the most ambitious, albeit controversial,
trans-stellar conglomerates operating within the United Empire of Earth (UEE). Formed
through the aggressive 2915 merger of Earth-based atmospheric harvester Weyland
Interstellar and the cutting-edge cybernetics firm Yutani Innovations, the corporation has
consistently pushed the boundaries of deep-space exploration, terraforming, and industrial
exploitation.
I. Timeline & Core Foundations
•
2890 — Corporate Genesis: Founded by Peter Weyland II on Earth, Weyland Interstellar
rapidly corners the market on specialized gas-refining and atmospheric extraction
technologies.
2915 — The Great Merger: Following critical financial strain from the high-risk “Project
Prometheus” deep-space initiative, Yutani Innovations executes a reverse-takeover,
creating the modern Weyland-Yutani superpower.
2930–2980 — Galactic Footprint: Establishing a heavy presence in the Stanton system,
Weyland-Yutani sets up white-crate agricultural loops across Crusader’s moons (Gallete
Family Farms and Bountiful Harvest) to supply outer-rim expansion efforts, while actively
competing with industrial titans like Hurston Dynamics.
2994 — The USCSS Nostromo Incident: An industrial salvage mission involving a
company-owned Aegis Reclaimer disappears without a trace along a commercial cargo
route. Declassified files hint at a corporate mandate designated Special Order 937,
prioritizing organic anomalies over crew recovery.
II. Corporate Fleet & Asset Allocation
Weyland-Yutani utilizes a highly specialized, modified fleet of civilian and industrial hulls
adapted for extended deep-space extraction and corporate security defense vectors:
Aegis Reclaimer (Industrial Salvage & Interception)
The backbone of Wey-Yu’s deep-space recovery initiatives. These massive industrial
platforms are retrofitted with advanced sensor suites designed to isolate and secure
unclassified materials and anomalous structural hulls in lawless sectors.
RSI Constellation Andromeda (Corporate Escort & Security)
Serving as the heavy enforcement arm for corporate executives, the Constellation fleet
manages secure sectors, patrols territorial infrastructure on agricultural moons, and deters
pirate raiding outfits in high-risk zones.
Drake Cutlass Black (Frontier Operations & Plunder Control)
In deniable or low-security environments like the Pyro system, Wey-Yu employs wings of
tactical Cutlass Black vessels. These units are frequently deployed near the Lazarus
Transport Hub on Pyro 1 to secure rare weaponry, military gear, and high-yield munitions
caches before independent contractors can extract them.
III. Xeno-Relations & Alien Contact Directives
Operating beyond the central eyes of the UEE Advocacy, Weyland-Yutani maintains distinct,
aggressively proprietary diplomatic and operational stances regarding non-human
civilizations:
The Banu Concept (Opportunistic Commerce)
Weyland-Yutani views the Banu Protectorate through a strictly transactional lens. The
corporation maintains a covert logistics conduit through the Banu trader Wikelo at various
Wikelo Emporium stations. Wey-Yu trade networks exchange heavily restricted historical
artifacts, black-market technologies, and exotic biological data for specialized Banu
manufacturing schematics and raw materials that bypass UEE customs.
The Xi’An Empire (Industrial Espionage)
The highly managed, bureaucratic nature of Xi’An territory presents a formidable obstacle to
corporate expansion. Weyland-Yutani actively attempts to duplicate Xi’An bio-engineering
methods and long-lifecycle terraforming algorithms. Relations remain cold, characterized by
constant electronic warfare and corporate spy craft aimed at stealing Xi’An thruster blueprints
and eco-diversity techniques.
The Vanduul Threat (Exploitation & Hazard Mitigation)
While the UEE views the Vanduul as an existential threat to survival, Weyland-Yutani’s
corporate board secretly perceives them as an unmatched source of weaponized biomaterials
and raw power. Wey-Yu security forces have occasionally tracked Vanduul raiding parties into
lawless systems, not to engage in defensive actions, but to scavenge fallen Vanduul tech and
biology from the aftermath. Declassified memos suggest a corporate desire to capture live
Vanduul specimens for research into aggressive psychological engineering and weaponized
kinetic armor configurations.
“Building Better Worlds — One Star at a Time.”
Preamble-
In the vast, unforgiving expanse of the Star Citizen universe, where the stars are both our destination and our danger, the Weyland-Yutani Corporation stands as a beacon of ambition, resilience, and unyielding progress. Born from the merger of two legacies — the US Weyland Corp and the Japanese Yutani Corporation — we are a conglomerate whose reach spans technology, exploration, terraforming, and the very fabric of interstellar civilization
Our Mission-
We are dedicated to expanding humanity’s horizons — to explore the unknown reaches of space, to exploit its bounty for profit, and to shape worlds for the better. Our operations encompass:
-Deep-space exploration and resource acquisition in the most remote systems
-Terraforming and colonization of hostile worlds, making them habitable for human and alien life
-Biological research — including the study and utilization of extraterrestrial lifeforms for scientific and commercial advancement
-Technological innovation in starships, robotics, cybernetics, and advanced materials
Our Principles-
-Profit and Progress — Every action must serve the corporation’s growth and the advancement of humanity’s interstellar presence
-Adaptation — In the shadows where light fades and dangers lurk, we thrive. We turn adversity into opportunity
-Controlled Expansion — We will move restricted goods and rare specimens across the galaxy, ensuring their value is maximized
-Survival — In a universe where the void is both our canvas and our enemy, we are masters of endurance
Our Vision-
Let others leave their future in someone else’s hands — not we. We will carve our own destiny in the stars, building better worlds, one star at a time. Whether in the Core Systems’ bustling trade lanes or the Frontier’s uncharted void, Weyland-Yutani will be the force that shapes the future of humanity’s place among the stars.
“When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward.” — Leonardo da Vinci
We invite all who dare to defy the odds and embrace the shadows to join us. Together, we will build better worlds — and claim our place in the galaxy.
