Formed out of necessity, fueled by sheer willpower.

History

Formed during the chaos of the Regen Crisis of 2955, The Winter Contingent was founded by former freelance mercenaries to help aid the citizens of the UEE during the height of the Crisis. It was not until the discovery of Vanduul technology and bio samples inside the ASD Onyx facilities around MicroTech that The Winter Contingent formally declared themselves a private military and security firm in the face of these new threats.

Manifesto

THE WINTER CONTINGENT MANIFESTO

In the wake of the combined events surrounding Emilia Boyd and the Regen Crisis, it is clear that the need for increased security for citizens of the empire is at an all time high. We, The Winter Contingent, make it our mission to fight those who would harm those seeking a fair chance at life. Whether it be for credits or for goodwill, we will take up the fight to ensure that others do not have to. Our mission is to provide aid and support in all forms to those who need it, from combat support, private investigations, and medical support.

We welcome and encourage new and old players to The Winter Contingent who have a desire for adventure and want to explore new game events and locations as they are added to the game. We offer beginner’s courses and beginner friendly events, and try to make sure that new players have the tools they need to enjoy the game both as part of a group and as a solo player.

You will probably enjoy The Winter Contingent if you like:

- Bounty Hunting (PvE and PvP)

- Exploration

- Participating in new missions offered by CIG

- Participating in player organized events

- A smaller group of people who are just trying to have fun in game and see what CIG has to offer.

Charter

CHARTER

1. Respect your fellow orgmates. We have a Zero Tolerance Policy for racism, sexism, and bigotry in general. If you cannot adhere to this rule, this is not the org for you.

2. Help out your teammates. We’re all on the same team, so help each other out. If someone doesn’t understand certain mechanics, help them out as best you can instead of berating them. There’s lots of new players and a lot of mechanics, so it’s understandable that there will be some confusion.

3. Take it semi-seriously. While we are no mil-sim org, we do still expect a certain level of professionalism especially when operating larger ships, executing fleet maneuvers, or participating in ground combat where communication and teamwork are vital to a successful mission.
