The Weyland-Yutani Corporation is a multinational conglomerate. Primarily we are an technology supplier, manufacturing synthetics, spaceships and computers for a wide range of industrial and commercial clients. Our company also has extensive assets in interplanetary shipping and transport.
Weyland Industries was multinational corporation with a stock worth of $218 trillion in 2093, specializing and developing in major advancements in technology such as holographics, off-world colonization, FTL travel, and others which are consolidated into seven verticals: health, transportation, energy, electronics, terraforming, security, and cybernetics, headquartered in San Francisco, California.
Weyland Industries soon became the first company in history to make $100 billion within five years due to massive successes in technological advances. In 2029, the Yutani Corporation filed a lawsuit against Weyland over a patent dispute with the David series. Weyland Industries won the lawsuit, securing its investments and shareholders. Due to Weyland Industries combined value of various patents, the company incorporated a higher fair market valuation than any other company in history once it was created.
Weyland Industries would go on to terraform the first functional and breathable atmosphere on GJ 667Cc, paving way for further terraforming on other planets, one of which would eventually be LV-426. In 2099, Weyland Industries absorbed the Yutani Corporation in a hostile takeover, forming the Weyland-Yutani Corporation
