The History of X-Caliber Defense
The Foundry (Pre-UEE Conflict)
X-Caliber Defense was not born in a boardroom, but in the debris fields of the outer rim. Originally a small detachment of decommissioned UEE Navy pilots and Marine specialists, the group operated under the callsign “X-Ray Tango.” Their mission was simple: provide high-threat extraction for industrial miners in lawless space where the UEE Navy was too slow to respond.
The “Shattered Blade” Incident
The organization earned its name during a high-stakes defense of a planetary refinery on the fringes of the Pyro system. Outnumbered and outgunned by a pirate syndicate, the team held the line for 72 hours. Legend says the founder’s own tactical blade was the only weapon left functional by the end of the siege—a “Caliber” of grit that the void couldn’t break.
Following this victory, the group reorganized into a formal Private Military Company (PMC), adopting the downward sword and tactical reticle as their seal.

In the vast expanse of the verse, there are those who drift and those who drive. X-Caliber Defense was forged for the latter. We do not seek conflict, but we are the absolute end of it.
The Void is indifferent to your survival. We are not. We serve as the sharp edge between our clients and the chaos of deep space. Whether it’s high-value asset escort, planetary security, or rapid-response combat, we bring a caliber of steel that does not bend and a tactical focus that does not blink.
OUR CORE DICTATES:
THE BLADE BEFORE THE SHIELD: We prioritize proactive defense. We identify threats before they breach the perimeter. To protect is to dominate the engagement.

X-CALIBER DEFENSE | THE CORPORATE CHARTER
ARTICLE I: GOVERNANCE
X-Caliber Defense (XCD) operates under a Strategic Command structure. All final operational and diplomatic decisions are vested in the High Command. While feedback from the ranks is encouraged, the Org is a meritocracy, not a democracy. Strategic decisions regarding fleet movements and alliance treaties are final.
ARTICLE II: MEMBERSHIP & AFFILIATION
Exclusivity: XCD is a primary-commitment organization. While we allow hidden affiliations, your primary loyalty and combat availability belong to the XCD fleet.
Trial Period: All new recruits enter as Initiates. Evaluation periods last until a member has completed three (3) verified fleet operations or is cleared by a Centurion.
Activity: We value quality over quantity. Members are expected to check tactical briefings (Discord/Spectrum) regularly. Extended leaves of absence (LOA) must be reported to a superior officer.
ARTICLE III: REVENUE & SALVAGE
Contract Payouts: Credits earned through Org-contracted security or logistics work will be distributed based on role participation.
The Fleet Tithe: A 10% overhead fee may be applied to large-scale operations to fund Org assets, re-arming, and ship replacements for members who lose hulls in the line of duty.
Personal Wealth: What you do on your own time is yours. XCD only claims a stake in “Official Operations.”
ARTICLE IV: DIPLOMATIC STANDING
Non-Aggression: XCD does not initiate hostilities with UEE-aligned Orgs or neutral industrialist groups without provocation.
The Blacklist: Any entity that fires upon an XCD vessel is moved to a “Kill on Sight” (KOS) status across the entire fleet until reparations are made or the threat is neutralized.
ARTICLE V: AMENDMENTS
This Charter may be updated as the verse evolves. High Command reserves the right to modify operational protocols to ensure the survival and prosperity of the Org.
