Temple of the Spheres / YOGSOTHOTH

The Temple of the Spheres has existed under many guises from time immemorial, since before mankind had the capacity to gibber in madness at the sheer cosmic scope of the Great Old One known to us as Yog Sothoth. When the first simian glimpsed beyond the veil and into the Spheres, it perceived its own ignorance of what lay beyond. In this moment did the first Temple spring forth, constructed in the semi-consciousness of our ape-like ancestor as a symbol of what it could not hope to understand.

Yog Sothoth, acknowledged and worshiped by only a handful of primitive cults scattered about the Earth, was a complete mystery to uninitiated humans until the early 21st century. Thanks to the efforts of one Howard Phillips Lovecraft, who we suspect was initiated into such matters by none other than Aleister Crowley, the mystery of the Gate/Keeper/Key trickled into the larger collective consciousness of humanity. It would not be until centuries later that Yog Sothoth was publicly acknowledged by even its followers as anything other than a fictional horror.

The Temple of the Spheres has been formalized over time, largely in a metaphysical pursuit of the knowledge and conversation of our holy one. With the advent of jump technology, many initiates felt the call of Spheres. Our Temple now has a new mission: We shall seek Yog Sothoth among the stars.
