History
The Story of the First Buck
Long before the syndicate had a name, before there was a herd, there was only one traveler.
He drifted alone through the endless black of the ‘Verse, moving from station to station, taking whatever work kept his ship fueled. Every jump carried him farther from home, and every contract ended the same way—with another quiet departure and no one to call friend.
Out there, the stars were beautiful, but they were cold.
One night, while crossing a lonely system, he shut down his engines and watched a great spiral galaxy fill his cockpit window. It reminded him of an old story from Earth—that deer survive not because they are the strongest, but because they stay together. A lone buck may wander, but a herd endures.
In that moment, he made himself a promise.
He wouldn’t spend the rest of his life flying alone.
Instead of chasing credits, he began searching for people. Miners who needed protection. Salvagers looking for another pair of hands. New pilots with questions. Veterans who missed flying with a crew. One by one, strangers became companions.
What began as chance encounters became a family.
They weren’t united by rank, wealth, or power. They were united by loyalty, respect, and the belief that no one should have to face the ‘Verse alone.
The galaxy that once reminded him of isolation became a symbol of possibility. Every star represented another pilot waiting to be found. Every jump point was another opportunity to welcome someone into the herd.
And so the Herd was born.

Because in the end, the greatest treasure hidden among the stars was never ships or credits.
It was finding people willing to fly beside you.
Manifesto
We were never meant to cross the ‘Verse alone.
We are explorers, builders, fighters, traders, and survivors. Different paths brought us here, but one purpose keeps us together: to build a community where every pilot has a place.
We measure our strength not by the size of our fleet, but by the loyalty of those who fly beside us.
We help the lost.

We leave no member behind.

We seek adventure over comfort, challenge over complacency, and friendship over profit. Credits can be earned again. Ships can be replaced. The people you fly with are what truly matter.

As a member of Young Bucks, you agree to uphold the following principles:
Respect Everyone – Treat all members with respect, regardless of experience or skill level.
No Politics – Keep political discussions out of the organization.
No Hate or Harassment – Racism, sexism, discrimination, or personal attacks will not be tolerated.
Help the Herd – Support fellow members whenever possible. We all started somewhere.
Have Fun – Remember that we’re here to enjoy the game and build lasting friendships.
Team Before Self – Work together and put the success of the herd above personal gain during group operations.
Keep Communications Mature – Friendly banter is welcome, but excessive toxicity and drama are not.
Represent the Herd Well – Your actions reflect on all of us. Be honorable in the ‘Verse.
No Griefing Our Own – Theft, betrayal, or intentional harm toward fellow members is grounds for removal.
Real Life Comes First – Family, work, and health always take priority over the game.
