Human expansion beyond the Sol system created opportunity, but it also exposed a flaw.

As new systems were discovered, logistics became the backbone of survival. Supplies, personnel, and information had to move reliably across long distances. Over time, only a few major hauling companies remained. Covalex, Red Wind Linehaul, Ling Family Hauling, and Unified Distribution Management.

They endured because they adapted. Not because the system was strong.

Convoys relied on escorts. Escorts relied on intelligence. Intelligence relied on acquisition. Every mission depended on multiple organizations working together. When one failed, the entire operation was exposed.

The result was always the same. Delay. Vulnerability. Loss.

THE FAILURE

Sulyce served in an elite UEE military element responsible for recovering assets when operations broke down. Their unit was deployed when coordination failed or when time had already been lost.

One mission changed everything.

A convoy went dark during what should have been a routine operation. Requests for response moved through command channels. Approval was delayed. Responsibility shifted between units. By the time deployment was authorized, the situation had already deteriorated.

When Sulyce and their team arrived, it was not a rescue.

It was recovery.

Support had not arrived. Coordination had failed. The system required too many parts to move in sync, and when it mattered, none of them did.

There were civilians involved. People who were never meant to be part of a hostile engagement. The mission had not been high risk when it began.

It became high risk because the system could not respond in time.

Sulyce completed the recovery, but the outcome had already been decided long before arrival.

That moment defined the problem clearly.

The system did not fail in theory. It failed in time.

THE RESPONSE

After leaving military service, Sulyce did not try to fix the system.

They built something else.

Operations began small. Independent contracts. Controlled environments. Over time, the structure evolved into a unified model. Acquisition, transport, security, and execution were no longer separate functions.

They became one system.

Most do not find Sol Provision by searching.

SOLACE

There are reports of a structure near Crusader. Unregistered. Untracked. Easy to overlook.

Some refer to it as The Spirit of the Sol.

Others call it Solace.

Both names appear in scattered accounts. Neither is tied to a confirmed location.

Solace is not fixed to one place. It does not appear on charts, and it does not remain static. It began as a hidden meeting point. A place where experienced operators could speak openly and operate without interference.

Over time, it became something more.

Solace is not defined by location. It is defined by control.

Where Sol Provision establishes presence, Solace exists.

It is not a place of comfort. It is a place where variables are accounted for, decisions are made, and outcomes are set before execution begins.

Orison is a city based on a series of interconnected floating platforms located in the upper atmosphere of Crusader (Stanton II). Originally constructed by the United Empire of Earth (UEE)Navy to provide repair facilities for their capital ships, Crusader Industries looked at the existing infrastructure as an ideal location for their commercial shipbuilding operations. Over time, as the city drifts from its position, it must be occasionally moved into safe orbit by the synchronized firing of large thrusters built into each platform. Due to the gas giant Crusader’s natural beauty and the presence of unique fauna such as the stormwal, Orison has become a popular tourist destination for visitors to the Stanton system. Cloudview Center serves as the main hub for habitation, tourism, and commerce. The Skyway Shuttle provides public transportation between platforms.

THE SPIRIT OF THE SOL – Sol Provision’s Speak Easy Tavern

Legend has it, a platform drifted away from the network of Orison in the Crusader system, just outside of the livable layers of gas clouds, its location undisclosed and lost to the general population. Only a select few know of its whereabouts; they say a salvaging expedition of the Stanton-renowned Sol Provision organization stumbled upon it, and had since began growing an economy of a… let’s say… less noble venture. If one were to happen by its location, they would be mislead into thinking it was abandoned. However, the trained eye would see the signs and symbols of the Sol Provision branding throughout the dunnage. Here lies a Speak Easy of Stanton’s most rare spirits. A place that provides provisions for the soul…
