Thank you for your interest in Vanguard Defense Industries. Our mission is to provide protection wherever it is needed. We are not mercenaries for hire but instead look to serve freighter captains, provider protection for mining operations, and defend salvaging operations throughout the known universe. We will also take on bounty assignments against enemies who raid our clients but this is not our primary function.

We exist because a gap was identified within most corporations. Does it make sense for a large mining company to also maintain a fleet of warships? We don’t believe it does. As such, we offer our ships, our personnel, and our best to defend our clients interests.

Upon recruitment, each pilot will go through a rigorous on-boarding process. After being officially welcomed into the corporation a mentor will be assigned to you to help you acclimate and will be responsible for outfitting you with equipment as needed. As space is dangerous all members of the corporation are required to maintain insurance on all ships that they use for official business. If you are unable to meet this requirement please speak up during your recruitment. Lastly, money is paid out from the corporation based on work completion.

Recruitment
If you are interested in joining Vanguard Defense Industries please fill out an application. In that application please answer the following questions:
1. How much combat experience do you have against players? Against NPCs?
2. How would you rate yourself at keeping calm under pressure?
3. Do you have a temper or become snappish during intense combat situations?
4. Why do you want to join?
5. What other MMO’s have you played and what was your primary focus in those games? (PVE / PVP / Crafting / Mixture)
Lastly, If you were referred please tell us who referred you.

On-boarding Process
Upon receiving your application your application will be handed off to a mentor. This player will review your application and be responsible for contacting you. Your combat skills will be evaluated within the Arena Commander simulator. During this evaluation your actions, words, and abilities will be listened to and will determine if you are welcomed in. Should your combat skills be lacking your application will be deferred. This is not the end of your opportunity to join! A training program exists to help you develop the combat skills you need to join. We are less concerned with your ability to fight and more concerned with your personality and willingness to learn. Keep in mind, you can be the absolute best played to ever play Star Citizen but if you’re a jerk we won’t recruit you.

Membership
All members of the corporation go through a trainee phase lasting up to two months or up to thirty hours of logged time. During this time it is expected that you may need time to learn and adapt to the squadron. At the end of this period it is expected that you know who you should contact for assistance, how to handle an internal complaint, and how we expect our members to behave during client operations.
