Tethle'a (Hyoton II) is the second planet from the sun of the Hyoton system, Xi'an Empire (SaoXy'an). From the surface of the Xi'an homeworld RyiXy'an (Hyoton III) it is the brightest "star" in the sky, and was associated with intelligence and clarity of thought in ancient Xi'an myths. The second world to be successfully terraformed by the Xi'an, it has a hot and humid climate that supports a vibrant ecosystem. The area around the equator is especially sweltering, and as a result is less populated than the more temperate regions beyond the tropics. The still very hot climate in these areas is nearly identical to that of the RyiXy'an before it was rendered uninhabitable at the end of the Great Divide, and is seen as a very desirable place to reside. Many ancient and prestigious Houses maintain seats of power on Tethle'a.
