Tyrol System

The Tyrol system is an unclaimed planetary system that consists of a binary star system, four terrestrial planets, a chthonian planet, a gas giant, and a protoplanet. Discovered by Damon Huerta in 2823, it was initially met with excitement until it became clear that the F-type star had just entered its subgiant phase and was slowly losing its outer atmosphere to its companion star, a white dwarf. At some point within the next few hundred years, the hydrogen accreted by the smaller star will undergo fusion into helium and cause a nova; a cataclysmic explosion that has the potential to wipe out the entire system. Tyrol has remained mostly unsettled beyond those interested in studying the building nova up close, those who wish to live outside the boundaries of the United Empire of Earth (UEE), and those who have no other choice.
