The Weaver Palm is a genetically modified plant created by Rayari Inc. to produce a renewable, strong, lightweight, and flexible fiber that could be utilized by colonists on newly terraformed worlds. The fiber can be processed into thread that can then be used to weave fabric. Low maintenance and able to withstand periods of drought, the plant can grow in a wide variety of climates.
