Caliban 3a is the first moon from the surface of Caliban III, Caliban system, located in Vanduul territory. Large and lumpy in appearance, astronomers speculate that it is the leftover nucleus of a planet that failed to coalesce into a planet. The Vanduul have been observed extracting water ice from its deepest craters.
