Kallis IX is a dwarf planet in the developing Kallis system, and is the ninth planet from its sun. Frigidly cold, its surface is marked with active cryovolcanoes that spew ice and water into the ammonia-rich atmosphere. The planet came to fame in the 2943 Tonya Oriel story Lost Generation, where it appeared as the final resting place of a passenger from the missing long-haul colony ship Artemis. OB Station Gryphon faced an influx of tourists wanting to visit the site, not knowing that the story was fictional.
