An Essosouli is someone who has achieved the highest social and political rank within their Souli. Essosouli are often the most skilled artisans in their Souli, or the ones who have accumulated the most wealth over time. The position of Essosouli can be attained through a variety of means, not limited to popular election, appointment by another Essosouli, assassination of another Essosouli, or bribery of an Essosouli. Upon Divestment, Essosouli retire and their Souli either re-organizes or disbands.
