The Emergency Communication Network, popularly called the ECN, is a government-operated system of communication satellites and space stations in the United Empire of Earth (UEE). Designed to facilitate stable communication in a state of emergency, each station has multiple backup power sources and transmitters, ensuring that urgent messages make it to their destinations. They also broadcast over numerous frequencies to avoid jamming. This separation of broadcast spectrums makes the system much more stable in an emergency.
