Venus is the second planet from the sun of the Sol system, United Empire of Earth (UEE). A smog planet with a dense, high-pressure atmosphere, it has never been successfully terraformed although Humans have made countless attempts since they first began terraforming other planets. Venus is orbited by multiple permanent space stations, some home to long-term colonies, and others used as terraforming research platforms by various corporate and scientific organizations.
