The Freelancer MAX is a variant of the Freelancer freighter developed by MISC. Unusually for spacecraft variants, the MAX is a total rebuild of the standard Freelancer hull rather than a redesign. Thanks to these changes, it can carry twice as much internal cargo as its parent model in exchange for sacrificing some speed and maneuverability.
