The 118th Fighter Squadron (Squadron 118, the "Hare Triggers") is an active United Empire of Earth (UEE) Navy unit. Currently assigned to the 5th Fleet, 87th Battle Group, the unit was first formed in the midst of the Second Tevarin War in SEY 2609. During the war, the 118th earned its nickname due to its reputation for consistently landing the first hit on enemy combatants during ship to ship engagements. It was a part of the 6th Fleet until it was transitioned into the 5th in 2917.
