The Gliese system is a planetary system in the Banu Protectorate that consists of a type-A main sequence star, three terrestrial planets, one smog planet, one gas giant, one protoplanet, an asteroid cluster, and two asteroid belts. A bustling hub of commerce and cultural exchange, its resource-rich planets and asteroid belts have made it a center of trade between the Banu and other civilizations. Most Banu in the system reside in the sprawling Lyris flotilla, located near the habitable planet Nogo (Gliese IV). The Protectorate has allowed Humans to set up a colony there, but no Banu live alongside them.
