Charon IV is an ice giant in the Charon system, United Empire of Earth (UEE). Its atmosphere, composed mainly of methane and ammonia, is icy blue, giving the planet an almost white appearance when viewed from orbit. When Max Keaton discovered the Charon system in 2538, the sight of the gas giant's pale skies inspired him to name the system after Charon, ferryman of the dead.
