LA Office Opens!

Greetings Citizens,

We are very pleased to announce that Cloud Imperium’s Los Angeles office has officially opened! The LA office will be home to part of the core development team and will work alongside the Austin office to develop Star Citizen and Squadron 42. The office will focus on high-end creative elements, structuring of the game engine and publishing… and it’s appearance has the Austin team jealous! Chris and the team put together a video to introduce the community to the office, the first of many productions planned at CIG LA:

The LA office will provide a home for people that have been working in California since before crowdfunding began. Chris Roberts, Sandi Gardiner, David Haddock and more will be based there and the team will be growing quickly! The office will serve as a home-away-from-home for our LA-based conceptual artists, including Jim Martin, Rob McKinnon and Ryan Church. Other team members currently based in Germany and Canada will be relocating here, and we will be announcing new hires soon.

Appropriately, Cloud Imperium’s next door neighbor is Ouya, another crowd funded gaming startup. And no worries about spending too much money on fancy new digs: the landlord is a fan who agreed to build out the office at his cost and who arranged for a deal on the space! We’re grateful for his kindness and support in making such a cool new facility affordable for your budget.

Here are a few “before” shots to show you how far the office has come!
