Hi, I’m Chris and I am starting this org for myself and any friends that I can somehow convince to get Star Citizen. I also just had a cool lore idea. This can also be for any friends that I happen to make in the verse. The goal is really just to have fun doing whatever. Formality can come later.

Code Ukiyo origin lore:

The verse is home to millennium of stories. Stories of tragedy, triumph, happiness, despair, gain, and loss. All stories that those in the verse know very well, and Code Ukiyo is a band of people from the verse who are extremely familiar with stories of tragedy and loss.

The name Code Ukiyo comes from an emergency effort made by the inhabitants of a poor planet named Solaris under the UEE’s jurisdiction. In 2933, the planet’s largest volcano showed signs of erupting, causing panic and the immediate need for action but no funds to do so. With the planet soon to become uninhabitable, the government enacted Code Ukiyo. This was the name of the emergency effort to expand the planet’s only orbiting space station, Port Luna, for the citizens to migrate to.

Solaris, alone, did not have the funds for the project, so they requested immediate assistance from the UEE, who successfully received their call of distress. The people of Solaris were dispatched the manpower and resources, however, a cutthroat corporation caught wind of the situation. This corporation recently failed to make a deal for resources, the same kind of resources being delivered to Solaris. Seeing this as a convenient opportunity, the corporation decided to hire a crime syndicate to follow and intercept the resources as they arrived. With the planet being so out of the way and poor, the pirates easily succeeded against the weak defenses of Solaris.

The government requested emergency aid yet again, but with more security, however, the UEE said it would cost too much time and money to gather the resources and deliver them. Ultimately deciding Solaris was not worth it, the UEE agreed to send a small amount of resources for those who can make it to Port Luna.

The people of Solaris fell into complete disarray and chaos. The few citizens lucky enough to own spacecraft were bombarded with people and families begging for a ride to Port Luna. With the planet consisting of 3 million people, and the port only having a capacity of around 350,000, only a select few could survive. Young women and children were the ones granted priority, still leaving over half the population behind. People were packed into Port Luna and on to all available spacecraft to maximize the amount of survivors.

Unfortunately, the spacecraft at hand did not have quantum drives with the capacity to reach another station or civilization due to Solaris’s isolated location. There was nothing more the people of Solaris could do.

The volcano eventually erupted in 2935, creating an environment that killed over 2 and half million people, leaving those on Port Luna to live the rest of their lives. Surviving off of the aid provided by the UEE, the survivors from Solaris could only curse the UEE under their breath.

Moving forward, there were plans for a mass exodus of those from Port Luna in order to be closer to the UEE’s systems. The exodus occurred in 2937, extracting all surviving Solarians from Port Luna. In their despair, the Solarians had amassed a deep hate towards the UEE and the pirates who doomed their loved ones. Among them was an orphaned young boy whose mother was left behind. Their family was very poor, leaving them to be one of the last shipments of survivors headed for Port Luna. At that time, the last ship rides were only for children who were yet to be extracted, meaning the last survivors were all now orphans.

Alone and disgusted with those who doomed his planet, the boy banded his friends together to revive the name of Code Ukiyo. Taking on the name to honor those left behind on Solaris, they vowed to eradicate all who are evil, be it criminals, crooked officials, or dirty corporations. They will eliminate anyone who harms the innocent, no matter their affiliation. They will protect any who are at the mercy of pirates. They will provide and trade resources for any in need who are ignored by those in power. The memory of those left behind on Solaris will never be forgotten, nor will those at the bottom.

P.S. We will at least try our hardest, while probably getting distracted and horsing around in the meantime, or getting completely destroyed by those better at the game.
