In the wake of Operation Nemesis on Idris IV in 2544, scattered inhabitants of the system were in significant need of space-worthy medical equipment. Joshua Epstein, a local and popular trader-turned-convoy runner at the beginning of the invasion, convinced a handful of once-wealthy families to grant salvage rights to abandoned manufacturing facilities and tech in exchange for cheap and safe passage to neighboring star systems. While Idris IV was being reconstructed, Epstein created his first base of operations on the planet and began producing modular facilities, drugs and combat support kits that would be used for future generations.
