History

Spartans were notorious for their strength, their dependability, and their teamwork. A Spartan saying goes: “The Spartans are the equal of any men when they fight as individuals; fighting together as a collective, they surpass all other men.”

This company of explorers, miners, and traders started when a collective group of individuals decided they need not struggle alone. Together, they could form an unbreakable wall, much like the Spartan shields, and protect those within. This shield became their protector, and soon they began not just defending from attack, but attacking back when agitated. Much like the Spartans, they became strong defenders of those that leaned on them. The Spartans Corps grew, in both fleet and in numbers, and are now a respected Organization in the Galaxy.

Manifesto

Spartan Corps was founded around the idea that what we can accomplish alone, can be accomplished more profoundly in cohesion. We were founded on the thought that life as we know of can be built upon stronger when we work to everyone’s strengths, whilst making up for our neighbor’s weaknesses.

Spartan Corps lives by the traditional Spartan motto “With it or on it.” We are a peaceful company until pushed on with force. Once we engage in combat, we will not back down until we are either victorious or dead.

Spartans are of many trades.

A Spartan is always a fighter first. This has always been without question. However, Spartans always have their specialties. Miners help fuel material and assist in funding. Traders help move the material and funding safely. Bounty Hunters help keep the peace in our systems. Medical help keep our Spartans healthy and fit to fight. And many more specialties, which are all inclusive and necessary to make SPARCO successful. You can choose to be a Spartan in a way that you deem fit. And SPARCO will assist by teaching you the Spartan way and pairing you with an educated and strong leader that will help ensure your success both within SPARCO and individually.

Spartans work hard. But never alone.

A true Spartan understands that what can be accomplished alone, can be accomplished better with another Spartan. SPARCO Operations help facilitate teamwork and assist both in organizational as well as individual wealth. From mining expeditions, pirate hunting, exploration charters, and in applicable situations, human resourcing such as medical and personal transport.

SPARCO Operations

SPARCO’s success is reliant on it’s Operations. Every member can participate in SPARCO Operations at anytime. However, those members will follow the guidelines set both by SPARCO and by the Operation Leader(s). SPARCO Operations will vary in size based on their requirements, ranging in 2-5 member teams, upwards to 50+ member teams.

To facilitate the management of SPARCO, it has been divided into different branches. These branches will be ran under their respective Directors and Managers to ensure Spartan cohesion and welfare. It is their jobs to ensure that the Spartans under them are well taken care of while also anticipating their branches needs, balancing also the needs of the Corporation. You do not have to tie yourself down strictly to one branch. But you will have to test into each branch individually. This ensures each branches success at the most fundamental level.

The Sword and Shield

The Sword and Shield ‘s duty is to defend both Spartans and assets, as well as perform bounty hunting duties. This includes ship and ground combat. Spartans in this branch will need to be confident in their combative abilities and feel a sense of duty to protect SPARCO in its entirety. Examples of their duties can be Cargo and Gathering Escorts, Retaliation Missions, VIP Protection, and Bounty Hunting.

The Helmet

The Helmet, is that of Exploration, Science, Outpost Manufacturing, and Transport branches. Without their helmet, many Spartans would not individually have had their most valuable asset to utilize, their brain. The Helmet allows SPARCO to learn, grow, and control much further into the outer reaches of the systems. Their duty is to provide SPARCO with outposts on new lands, delve deep into science and technology, and facilitate transport of goods and assets. The Helmet are the thinkers of SPARCO.

The Robe

Spartans are remembered not only for their weaponry, but also for their garments. These garments were of a deep red and adorned in gold to signify health, strength, and instill fear in their enemies. The Robe signifies, for SPARCO, our Medical, Salvage and Mining branches. These are the Spartans that bring about the continuation of life for Spartans, protecting SPARCO by ensuring our most valuable assets, you, remain healthy and happy. While also supplying SPARCO with the minerals and materials needed to keep us strong.

The Spear

The tip of the Spartan spear, keeping enemies at a distance and sharp enough to slice the air around it before piercing through anything in it’s path. The Spear is SPARCO Leadership. A spear, both an offensive and defensive weapon, would end many fights before they even reached the shields. The Spear will always have it’s wielders, The Spartans, foremost in mind. It is our duty to place Spartans and SPARCO first. This is also why it is listed last. Because without The Sword and Shield, The Helmet, and The Robe: The Spear is nothing.

Charter

1. Every member’s personal identity (race, religion, beliefs, sexuality, etc.) shall be respected and honored.

2. Meetings will be mandatory only for those able to attend, whether that’s in-game or on Discord. Notes will always be made available after every meeting so there will be an opportunity to contribute even for those unable to attend due to IRL circumstances. Voting polls will be made for votes being made at the following meeting and the majority decision for the populous will count as a vote at the board.

3. While in Organization events, we only shoot on others if threatened or when they shoot on allied civilians. (This does not pertain to our event participating members if the event calls for contact)

4. No discussion of real-world religion and politics.

5. Most members are over the age of 18 years. Ages 15-17 can be vetted by board members and allowed to join. 15 years is the minimum.

6. Alliances are closed until we get to game launch but friendly diplomatic discussions are welcome as always. Just no commitments can be made.

7. No slavery of any kind.

8. Spying for another organization constitutes as an immediate removal from the organization.

9. No hidden affiliation or redacted past Senior Rank. All officers must have SPARCO as their Main Organization.

10. There is an absolute ZERO tolerance on Piracy against any innocents within Organization events.

11. Griefing intentionally on other players is not tolerated and you will be kicked from the organization without a second thought if proven guilty.

12. SPARCO will not punish its members for partaking in illegal activities on their own time. However, the Organization will not support, defend, or partake in those illegal activities as SPARCO follows all common and system laws.

13. Anyone participating in Organizational events will be required to end their crime state before they partake in any Organizational events.

14. A small percentage of tax will be taken off the top of all Organization events to help fund the Organization’s mission.

15. A set percentage of Organization tax profits will be split and paid back to its members based on rank at the end of each month. (percentages to be determined at a later date as content allows).

16. No member can make political moves for the Organization without consent. This includes, taking over another Organization’s territory, starting a war with another Organization, accepting Organization alliances or mergers, and offering Organization resources to players outside of SPARCO.

Rules can be changed with an 85% majority vote from members or majority vote at a Board Meeting.
