It is time to dust off the ole' supply bin, warm up those glue guns, and thread those sewing machines, because the CitizenCon Cosplay Contest is coming back in person to this year's event on October 21st & 22nd, in Los Angeles, California! It's been a little while since we hosted a cosplay contest IRL, and we're very much looking forward to being dazzled by your creativity as you compete with other citizens on stage to earn valuable prizes. Since we know that building cosplays can take time, we wanted to give you as much advanced notice as possible to get the creative juices flowing. If you're planning to attend CitizenCon 2953 and are interested in participating in this contest, make sure to keep an eye on this post, as we'll be updating it with additional information as we get closer to the event. Judging criteria will be based on Creativity Craftmanship Stage Presence Prizing: 1st: Tobii Eye Tracker 5 + Carrack 2nd: Tobii Eye Tracker 5 + 600i explorer 3rd: Tobii Eye Tracker 5 + A1 Spirit Here's what you need to know right now: - To be considered for participation, your cosplay must be related to either Star Citizen or Squadron 42 - All participants will be required to be physically present at CitizenCon, as the contest will be held on stage during the event. - Weapons and anything resembling a weapon are not allowed inside the venue. This includes but is not limited to guns, knives, and even medpens. - You are allowed to cosplay as a group. However, please consider that any physical prizes may not be extended to accommodate each group member. - Previous costumes entered in CitizenCon Cosplay Contests will not be eligible.
