When the UEE pulled Invictus back to Sol, DefenseCon didn’t wait for orders, it stepped up. That’s right, bigger, bolder, and more bodacious than ever, the ultimate expo is here and loaded with the manufacturers you trust. Set your own rules, find your edge, and defend your little corner of the black, no matter what’s thrown at you. When is DefenseCon? DefenseCon runs May 14 through May 27. Mark it. What time does the event start? DefenseCon starts at 1600 UTC. Where does DefenseCon take place? The Bevic Convention Center on Area18, ArcCorp. How do I get to the Bevic Convention Center? Head to ArcCorp. New to the 'verse? Spawn directly at the habitation building in Area18 and you're already close. Veterans, jump to ArcCorp, spline to Area18, and put down at Riker Memorial Spaceport. Follow the signs to the Bevic Convention Center from there. I am a new player. Where do I get more info? Nobody's born knowing how to fly. The New Player Guide gets you up to speed, and the Welcome Hub has the tutorials to keep you from hurting yourself out there. No problem. DefenseCon is a free fly event, open to everyone. All free fly accounts come loaded with an RSI Aurora Mk II loaner ship to get you to ArcCorp, and once you're there, take some fancy military hardware for a spin and see what the 'verse has to offer. No commitment required. When does the Freefly start? The FreeFly is live and will run through May 27. How do I rent a ship? See something you want to get your hands on? Hit the Travelers Rental terminals in the main DefenseCon hall during that ship/vehicle's Manufacturer Day and follow the prompts to rent it. Easy. What ships are available to fly for free? Different ships rotate in throughout DefenseCon. Check the Comm-Link for the full lineup and schedule. How long can a ship be rented? Rentals run 48 hours. Make the most of it. How many ships can be rented? Every flyable and drivable vehicle on the floor is fair game. Each one can be rented once, so choose wisely. Can I invite a friend? Bring everyone. All they need is a free account on the Play Now page, and they're in. Have them use your referral code at signup and when they buy a ship, they'll earn an extra 50,000 UEC and you'll score a referral point. Refer a friend during DefenseCon, and you'll earn a Drake Dragonfly with Coalfire paint, and the player you referred will receive a DefenseCon T-Shirt & Hat, plus cargo pants. Will there be more Twitch drops? Twitch Drops are back for DefenseCon 2956. Watch any drops enabled Star Citizen stream for four hours between May 14 and May 27 to unlock an exclusive Tailwind ‘Murray Cup’ flight suit and helmet. Just make sure your Twitch and RSI accounts are linked before you tune in so your drops land where they're supposed to. Will there be Daily Warbond deals? Every day of DefenseCon brings a new Warbond Daily Deal, live for 24 hours only. Don't sleep on them. This year's Finale runs May 26 at 1600 UTC through May 27 at 2000 UTC and comes with a fresh wave of Warbond Deals exclusive to that window. Will there be quantity stock-limited ships? Yes, and they go fast. Each stock-limited ship is capped at one per account and drops in waves to cover time zones across the 'verse. Depending on where you are, Waves may land on the next calendar day.
