Hey everyone, September 30, 2026 marks the official retirement of the RSI Aurora Mk I, bringing its production run to a close as RSI makes way for the newer RSI Aurora Mk II. TL;DR: The Aurora Mk I will leave the Pledge Store on September 30. If you already have one in your hangar, it stays yours and remains fully playable and supported in-game. We first announced the retirement of the Aurora Mk I back in March, providing a six-month sunset window for anyone who wanted to add this piece of RSI history to their fleet before production officially ends. We also covered the retirement plan in our Q&A: RSI Aurora, including what it means for those who already have one. What is not changing: If you already have an Aurora Mk I in your hangar, nothing changes about your ability to fly and use it. The ship remains yours and will continue to be fully supported in-game, including repairs, refueling, maintenance, components, and general gameplay, much like the previously retired Anvil Hornet Mk I. Additionally, as Star Citizen's development continues, we may introduce new ways to earn the Aurora Mk I in-game. What is changing on September 30: The Aurora Mk I will be removed from the Pledge Store. Any unretrieved standalone ships, upgrades, or CCUs specifically involving the Aurora Mk I in your Buy Back queue will no longer be retrievable after the retirement date. If you have any questions about the Aurora Mk I retirement or how it may affect you, please let us know in the comments below.
