Hi everyone! Ship Showdown Phase 1 is nearing completion, and there's still time to get your submissions in for your picks before it ends on August 29. The amount of love we've seen for your favorite vessels of the 'verse has been awesome, especially for a certain little buggy! After discussion with the vehicle teams, we have had to make the difficult decision to hold the Greycat PTV from advancing to Phase 2 of this year's Ship Showdown, and we'd like to explain a bit why. The PTV isn't set up for the current paints system, and it is also due for a full top-to-bottom rework in the future. Setting it up for paints now would require us to do so again once it's reworked, and we'd prefer not to assign development work that would ultimately be a waste of resources. This being said, we cannot ignore the amount of love that has poured in for the PTV! Being the official first vehicle in Star Citizen, the PTV will always hold a special place in our hearts too. To honor the amount of effort the community has put in to elevate their favorite go-kart, we'll be creating a new, unique paint for the PTV (once the rework is complete) that will be distributed to all backers for FREE!
