Even though circumstances continue to keep us from gathering in person, we still want to celebrate our magnificent Star Citizen cosplay community bringing the 'verse to life through their passion, artistry, and creativity. So, while there’ll be no stage walk this year, we'll be collecting pictures and videos of your cosplays and judging them individually. Then, the winners of our 2021 Cosplay Contest will be announced during our all-digital CitizenCon broadcast on October 9! Submit your creation on social media or the submission thread by August 31 to allow for judging before the event. You're welcome to include as many images and videos as necessary to best display your cosplay, but we ask that you supply at least one "hero shot" that effectively shows off your craft. Please also include a one-to-two sentence description of your cosplay. Our panel of CIG judges is looking forward to seeing what beautiful pieces of the 'verse you bring to life. The judging criteria is quality, creativity, style, and originality. This year we'll also change it up a bit by adding the Fan-Favorite category! After the submission period has ended, it is time for the rest of the Star Citizen Community to get active. We’ll set up a gallery of entries where you can vote to determine YOUR favorite Cosplay! If you'd like to be judged together, please submit in one spectrum post. If you'd like to be judged separately, please submit your cosplays individually. We'll award each group member a prize if your group takes first, second, third, Fan-Favorite, or scoops an honorable mention. Can I use the cosplay that I entered last year? If you've already entered your cosplay in an official CIG Cosplay Contest, you will need to make something new to be eligible for this year's contest. Still have questions?
