With these performance issues and bugs, why did this release this build to the current public? It isn't ready, but one thing they can do and they did (and later undid) is cap the amount of players. I understand this is early alpha but performance is really, really, bad. For normal gamers, 30 fps is the line, but for us it's the hope. 20 fps is acceptable for us, and this build has a lot of times, half that, or even less. Any person on the fence or a non sc backer who then backs, and joins now will be met with lots of lag and bugs. They will most likely be turned off by the state of this public build. I understand it's alpha and bugs are to expected, but this level of atrocious performance is too much. For a PTU build, this is acceptable, but for a public one it isn't. Also if they have a ship sale in the next couple of days that means that they rushed 3.0 to hype up ship sales. (in part to saving face and just releasing what they have). Until many bugs and performance issues, and the update of the ship lonaer matrix, 3.0 in my mind isn't out yet. Seeing a public build in this state is disappointing and frustrating, and the only thing that can be done is hope the next updates solve some of these issues. I thought PTU was pretty bad, but this is worse. Hopefully we get some updates soon, rather than waiting for a major Q1 update.
