To be clear, you always could hold any ship SLOWER than you indefinitely due to the way the Mantis mechanics worked, however, with its 1210 m/s speed, it just never really mattered too much as a good fighter could in theory chase the thing down and catch it. But now we have an odd situation where a good mantis pilot, can even troll most fighters into self destructing. I've actually done this before, to a Vanguard I caught in dead space once. Since, I had no way of beating my bounty target in a fight, I simply just held him in place until he suicided. Because there's quite literally no way to approach and kill a mantis when they have a 20km bubble and they are faster than you. So, now that everyone is now vulnerable to a Mantis, I suggest CIG realize this probably needs a counter. My suggestion? Balloon the EM signature of a Mantis into the hundreds of thousands, so that missiles will be able to reach and destroy it without it being able to flare off said missiles easily. Otherwise, we're gonna have a lot of really sad people when this goes live.
