COMMON PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS 1.) Help I am trapped at Port Tressler or Erevus Harbor, the elevator doesn't work? Solution: Server hop to a different region (e.g. US to EU), rush to the elevator. If the elevator doesn't come within 20 seconds, log out to menu and repeat until it does. 2.) My FPS gun doesn't fire! Solution: Bind the "Inspect Weapon" function under advanced keybinds to something. Inspect the weapon (sometimes the button needs to be pressed x2), weapon should fire after. 3.) My gun disappears when swapping weapons. Solution: No fix, unequip all weapons except one. Only use a single primary weapon (this includes removing the pistol). Players are reporting this affects the knife and multi tool as well. Generally just have one thing equipped at a time. 4.) I can't refuel or re-arm! Solution: Hover over the pad, try it. If it doesn't, hover over a new pad illegally. Repeat until it works. PO is the only one that seems to work consistently, at some rest stops, all pads do not work. UPDATE: On rest stations, some players note that hovering illegally over a pad without calling landing services sometimes works. 5.) I am invisible with no body! I can't use mobiglass! Solution: Go out to main menu, go to the character re-customizer and recreate your character. On next login, this issue should be fixed. 6.) I have no starting UEC, I lose UEC when logging in. Solution: No fix, needs to be patched by CIG. 7.) Ship weapons keep disappearing in my inventory. Solution: Caused by weapons being trapped inside a gimbal when the gimbal is removed without unequipping the weapon first. Always unequip your weapons from gimbals, save changes, then unequip the gimbals or you will lose ship guns. Generally it is good to avoid moving default guns from one ship to another, because sometimes reclaims can cause some squirrely database item bugs. Also never make changes to one ship and one menu tab. For example don't swap a power plant on one ship, missiles on another then guns on another. Swap the power plant, save and ext. Swap the missiles, save and exit. 8.) Missiles will not reload when I rearm/repair Solution: For large missile capacity ships (vanguard, MIS, Connie). Always detonate the ship with self destruct and reclaim it if you used all your missiles. This seems the only consistent way to get them back (and is cheaper). 9.) I am frozen in space and can't move Type /wave in chat to use an emote animation to "unstuck" yourself. 10.) CRITICAL NEW - I have an infinite loading screen after bed logging on a ship Solution: Go into arena commander when the same ship you got bugged in, go into free fly mode, bed log in the same spot on the same ship. 11.) I died and now have a black screen Solution: Hold backspace and suicide, sometimes this works and restores your visuals. THINGS TO WATCH OUT FOR A.) CF788 Ballistic Combine Cannon still does no dmg, avoid using. B.) Defender Sukoran Shield and Singes disappear permanently when removed from the Defender. Putting the Sukoran shield on another ship offers no shielding. This is because the shield is a fixed size for the defender a part of other ships protrude from it. Using any other shield rather than the Sukoran for the Defender also exposes the front claws to damage due to the shield shape of the Sukoran being unique. Some people report the Sukoran works fine on some ships. C.) Powerplant rebalances don't give some ships like the 600i enough juice for all systems this patch. To prevent random shutdown on these ships, overclock the power generator. Note that some generators were nerfed (ACOM Starheart) and provide almost not power, just repeaters on a stock avenger will shut this PP down. Some higher powerplants that supposedly give massive power on SCDB don't work without insane coolers. The Aegis Regulus seems to be the most stable S1 PP, and comes stock on most ships. If you want to go to a higher PP, upgrade the coolers first or you might get random shutdowns. The JS300 and Quadracell seem reliable but I do not know if they will work with bracers. D.) Do not attempt to move the S5 gimbals from the connie's lower nacelles to another ship, it removes the fixed hardpoints that are part of the hull and breaks the ship permanently. E.) It is generally better to blow up your ship and reclaim it after taking damage/using missiles than to try to repair. F.) Never dock at Everus Harbor or Port Tressler until the elevator is fixed. G.) Mining claim missions and patrol/clear next missions sometimes do not spawn the objective. H.) 325A cargo box cannot be taken up the ladder, you have to throw it inside after opening the door. Putting it in the lower cargo bay causes it to clip out. People note that you can park the ship upside down and jump into the door with the box and this works due to gravity hax. I.) The Argo Mole ladder sometimes kills you at the mid deck. Also one person going into extraction mode sometimes causes mining lasers used by others not to work right. It is best to fracture as a team first, then extract as a group. If you have bugged mining lasers that do not energy transfer to rocks, power cycle the whole ship. SPECIAL THINGS OF NOTE XX.) The "Retake Territory Mission" at Yela spawns a wave of up to 20 enemies. Each time a new player joins, a new wave spawns. It is possible to spawn over 100 enemy ships and create an epic battle that is pretty much a mirror of the last battle in return of the jedi. Grim Hex will hate you though, they will drop to 3 FPS.
