I'm all for the 4.8 wipe as more cost and other systems are just starting to be put in to start to test on a fresh eco reset, and this has been long overdue at this point in testing. However, I would say that wikelo and exec ships all need to be wiped as well. They note about attempting to fix and patch away dupes and exploits, and the reality is a very high amount of the wikelo capital ships were acquired VIA dupes, and an extreme amount of the exec ships were acquired over time VIA exploits such as the door clips and such, so these need to be wiped as well. A full eco wipe needs to be a FULL eco wipe including those, otherwise you are openly rewarding the dupers and exploiters who get to sit there and laugh while keeping their dupe/exploit acquired polaris' and idris', exec ships, etc, while everyone else is full wiped as the only ones really being reset. I would also add in with this full wipe knocking out all the wikelo and exec ships as well, put in FULL monitoring of exec hangars, as well as wikelo and heavily track every single ship acquired from them to quickly identify new dupes/exploits around them so you can actually fix those problems and punish the exploiters faster rather than letting it fester for as long as we had until now. Besides that, I would say the other big question that needs to be answered with this wipe, are reputations being reset? This one is important for people to know to plan what they need to focus on at 4.8 start if reputations are going to be reset or not. I could see reps being reset due to so many new missions and reputation grinds being added in for access to content, such as the upcoming TSG's, as well as blueprints, etc, so a wipe of these as well would not surprise me and I don't really care either way if they are wiped or not, but players do need to know this. All in all, good to see an eco reset to start a new round of systems and eco testing on a fresh wipe, but the above points need to be addressed/answered as well hopefully before patch this week.
