I know there have been endless posts about this. I'm not here to argue, I just want to ask if this is what we really want. I decided to come back to the game after a couple of years, and tried a hauling contract. The dropoff was in Pyro. It took me about three hours to gather all the items, mostly because I had to abandon the first contract when the cargo wouldn't spawn. I got to the dropoff, unloaded the cargo, and was just about to load it on to the freight elevator when I heard a funny noise. It was someone in a hornet shooting at my connie. After they blew both pontoons off, they started shooting at me. I tried to run and hide, but they got me before I could find decent cover. I know that Pyro is lawless. I know that the intent is to create real consequences, and I'm fine with that. If I wanted to do business there, I should've brought an escort, although the reward for the contract isn't really high enough to pay an escort and still make more than a safer contract in Stanton. Situations like this don't seem to fit the spirit of the game however. This person wouldn't have gained anything by killing me, except perhaps salvage from my ship. It was just aggression for aggressions sake. Perhaps some kid taking out his frustrations. I've lived plenty long enough to know that you'll run into nasty people no matter where you go, but this sort of thing just doesn't make sense to me. I don't understand why it would be condoned. It cannot enrich the experience. Like I said, I'm not here to whine about it, but I have to wonder if this is really the sort of thing we want happening in our game?
