Today, we're introducing a new set of Industrial missions designed to give industrial-focused players more freedom, more variety, and more reasons to explore. You may have already tested an early version of these when first introduced in the PTU 4.6 11022825, and even shared your feedback. If you did, thank you! It helps the teams a lot to further refine the content we release to the Live environment. These missions are designed to grow with you. Early contracts provide clear guidance to help you learn the fundamentals, while advanced missions increasingly reward knowledge, planning, and creative problem-solving. Whether you prefer mining, salvaging, scavenging, refining, pirating, or finding alternative solutions, these contracts are designed to let you approach each job your way. How Do These Missions Work These Industrial missions are procedurally generated and available across Stanton, Pyro, and Nyx. Each contract comes from a Mission Provider with a specific need; They care about results, not methodology. The mission does not spawn resources or mark exact locations. Instead, you are asked to use the sandbox to determine how and where to acquire what is needed. If you already know where to source a material efficiently, you can act on that knowledge. If not, investigation, exploration, and discovery become part of the experience. Contract descriptions may include subtle hints to help narrow down potential sources. Supported Industrial Paths These missions support a wide range of industrial gameplay loops and encourage players to mix and match approaches: Mining - Gathering minerals to refine (Raw Ore will be introduced at a later date) Salvaging - Collecting Recycled Materials Composite (RMC), components, and salvage Refining - Delivering refined ores and construction materials Scavenging - Recovering vehicle components and weapons Pirating - Scanning other ships and stealing their valuable cargo Hauling - Purchasing requested commodities directly from markets In some cases, alternative approaches are also viable. Purchasing materials through the economy or acquiring them through more aggressive means can be valid solutions, depending on the contract. Let's get started! MINING Open your mobiGlas and go to the Contracts menu. You'll automatically receive your first tutorial mission for Hand Mining. Follow the mission instructions and travel to the specified location. Once you arrive, you will be asked to mine a few minerals. Don’t forget to bring a Multi-Tool with a Mining Attachment, which can be purchased at locations such as Kel-To, Refinery Decks, or similar shops. Use your ship’s scanner to locate valuable resources in the area and gather the required materials. Follow the mission steps to deliver the collected cargo to the designated location and complete the contract. You will then unlock additional missions, which will continue to expand as your reputation with the contracting faction increases. SALVAGING Salvaging missions are available under the Salvage category in your mobiGlas Contracts. They begin with Adagio Holdings, who are looking for sharp-eyed contractors capable of identifying salvageable materials, efficiently stripping them, and delivering Recycled Material Composite (RMC) and salvaged components. Doing so will unlock additional missions for you to run, rewarding you as you progress through the faction's reputation. Feedback These Industrial missions represent an important step in expanding long-term gameplay for Star Citizen, and your experience matters. Now that they're live, we're eager to hear what works, what doesn't, and how these contracts fit into your playstyle. You can share your feedback on Spectrum.
