Management dropped the ball to release death of a spaceman when the game is in the state that it's in. I'm constantly dying to bugs and losing my progress and I'm rapidly losing the will to even want to test anything. The most recent ridiculous thing that happened was that a storm suddenly appeared while I was landed at an outpost without any atmospheric protection. My 200lb max humanoid self could withstand the force of 100 hurricanes.... BUT MY SHIP, it got blown away like a beachball. it finally stopped 20km away from me. So here I am stranded, slowly dying, with no one responding to my emergency beacon. Because of a ridiculous bug. The game isn't ready for this feature yet. There's way too many issues that need to be resolved first before I personally have the patience to test this nonsense. Anyone who says it is ready, is frankly insane. I get that we're testers. But we're also unpaid, and PLAYERS. The amount of punishment for dying because of no fault of our own is too excessive this patch. I already uninstalled SC for the first time since I've backed it. Won't be returning until I hear that there's significantly less bugs we can die from, or that the feature is retracted for the time being. Great comment from someone: "People hate losing mission progress so the only thing tested with a corpse run mechanism is the planers patience. How many medical rescues have been successful? That will tell whether the game is in a state for full-loot. Yes a few people are gaining free gear from npc’s. Many more are having their parties break when someone dies and actually tries to get their things back. Many are dying for stupid reasons. We are not losing our guns in an epic pirate battle. We are losing them to staircases and elevators."
