Greetings Everyone, As the title states, is CIG setting us all up to be in a state of constant war and conflict with one another? As it stands, player suspicion is at an all-time high. See someone else in your immediate vicinity while trying to level up your Bounty Hunter reputation? Forget 'em, start shooting. Coming into land at an outpost to buy/sell and there is a ship already on the ground? Forget 'em, blast that ship to smithereens, land somewhere nearby and logoff, server hop, then go back and take care of your purchases/sales. Can't get a hangar to land in, but you see one open up (not yours)? Forget 'em land anyways and just pay a small impound fine rather than wait. See someone mining? Forget 'em and blast away as you "never know, better safe than sorry" as even industrial ships have guns. Size 1 guns are still weapons after all. As we keep going down this path, we will not come together as a community to enjoy what CIG is trying (failing spectacularly at, but still trying) to build. Pyro to me is just a system-wide shittier version of GrimHex, with the PvP flag on all the time. There is zero confidence in anyone there, and forget chat communication, that thing is so toxic I just turn it off rather than read political/gender/hate. Saying 'But it's ALPHA' does not cut in anymore in my opinion, by now they should have a clear cut route of where they want to go, but to me it seems like no one is in charge at Star Citizen since the man himself is busy directing/editing Squadron42 for next year's release (hopefully next year). So where does that leave us? To fend for ourselves. And we are doing a piss-poor job at it. Many do not want to join an Org just to play with others. Nowadays you're asked to have Discord or some other app(lication) just to join. We're getting into Eve Online levels of paranoia here and the game is still minimum 5 Years away, by my estimation, from being released (face it folks Star Citizen will never go "GOLD") it will just have a soft release. It's tiring man, it is taxing to always 'be on the alert'. It sucks always being on your guard and suspicious of every single person you see/meet in space. I am not a person to hold others in suspicion by nature. My first reaction is to be friendly, to build a constructive rapport with others and have a good time. Mining away and can't quite crack that rock? Fire off in chat for anyone else in the vicinity/planet/moon who is also mining to come help and split the profits. Found your bounty BUT that dude has a mob of buddies? Fire off in Bounty Hunter channel for help. As it stands now, many players are not willing to let others know where they are out of fear for being blasted for no reason. Why don't we have profession channels? Mining, Bounty Hunting, Salvaging, Trade Channels? I would much rather hang out there with individuals involved in like-minded activities rather than the cesspool that is General Chat. Anyways, thank you for reading and I hope this year we can get some REAL changes to the game so we can start to build and come together as a community. There is a line in Starman movie with Jeff Bridges that goes "You are at your best, when times are worst". I am hoping this comes to fruition this year.
