Found this post on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/comments/1rkpbyj/armor_damage_mitigation_active_on_ptu/ Just reposting here sine this important change should not be un-noticed. I really love the changes you made to the ship armor system: To name it - we now have a working damage mitigation on the ships armor. What I tested: Firing S3 laser repeater on a Perseus main body results in no damage at all. Neither did I get a hit marker nor did the armor show any damage on its texture. Armor was completly unaffected, also confirmed by the engineering terminal. Firing at the main turret, support turrets and doors indicated damage as I got hitmarkers and the ship armor itself showed marks and deteriorating armor. Took out the Perseus for a Intersec mission against a MSR, Cutlass Black and Hornet. Stayed there for full 5 minutes without shields and received no damage to my main body, only minor damage to the main turrets, doors and so on. Fired S4 Revenant Gattlings and S3 Panthers at the Perseus without any effect at all. Used Omnisky (s3) weapons to deal damage to the Perseus main body and did a bit of math. Based on the damage I was supposed to deal and the damage I actually dealt I assume the immunity threshold to be very close to 80 for laser weapons. Tried a bit more and I was unable to deal damage to an unshielded Vanguard using S3 Mantis Gattlings. Maybe heavy fighters are back on the menu now Was also unable to deal damage to a Cutlass Black using S3 Mantis Gattlings. To sum up, we got a proper change to combat now. Picking the right tool for a job is necessary since a fighter with fast firing, low alpha weapons won't be able to deal any damage to any ship bigger than a Cutlass. Bringing big guns to fight big ships is now necessary. Could even mean the end to the light fighter meta.. hopefully. More testing required. Have fun I really hope it is not a bug and LF meta gets destroyed after 13 years. I want to see how the little turtle stands in this
