Due my very short play session time, i play solo the 90% of the time. I have always found plenty of content to do while solo. You can basically do evertything, but a smaller scale. There is designed solo ship for mining, salvage, combat, haul... explore... everything. The two new profession, crafter and builder, have soloable equipment. NPC crew or not, there are plenty of tool for us lone wolf to enjoy the game in a much more efficent way. You may want to park your carrack to use a terrapin for scanning location. Or park your retaliator and fly an eclipse instead. And, when you are in the mood with the new social tool like the party finder, you can dust off your big ship anyway. My "endgame" content as solo player would be unlock all the stuff i can efficently use in solo, and build what can i affor to build in solo. What i saw is already years and years of content for me, alone. And much more to come. I don't see a problem if i cannot build a big space station alone, instead that's an opportunity for group play when i can afford it. Everything is at our disposal, from the small mission in a small outpost, to the space fleet battle. We just need to understand when we can personally play which content.
