I’m seeing more and more threads asking for PvE-only servers, and honestly, I think this kind of suggestion is toxic to the spirit of Star Citizen. The game has always been pitched as a living, shared universe where the risks, and rewards, come from player interactions. Trying to carve out a version of the game where no one can touch you isn’t just about “preferences,” it’s asking CIG to undermine the entire foundation they’ve been building for over a decade. Asking for PvE-exclusive servers feels pretty disrespectful to the players who’ve backed this game for what it is; a truly open and unscripted sandbox. It is also disrespectful to the developers who are working to creating that vision. PvP, piracy, bounty hunting, emergent gameplay: that’s what gives Star Citizen its edge. CIG has already said reputation, crime, and law systems are coming. We also know there will be instancing for PvE, such as ArcCorp underground. We should wait for these features to be implemented first before asking for PvE-exclusive servers and permanent segregation of the playerbase. So instead of trying to wall yourself off, why not help provide feedback that makes the core experience better for everyone? Splitting the community into safe and unsafe bubbles just weakens the whole thing.
