At 47:26 into the recent Reverse the Verse, at some point, when answering to a question about Auto-pilot it is mentioned.... "There is no plans currently for a ... a player authored auto-pilot like I am gonna sit in my ship and plan a route and then sit back and watch it fly ... that's ... that's ... we don't have any plans for that ..." ".... we don't have any plans for that... " How is that possible ? I mean, an auto-pilot mechanics, at least to my viewing, is FUNDAMENTAL to allowing players to go get things down in their Ship while engaged in long, extensive Travels... to check out the Ship's stations, take care of maintainance, check some Imperial News Network News or various Databases or merchandise prices and demand/offer availabilities etc. etc. If a Pilot cannot leave the cockpit while the Ship is flying for lack of an auto-pilot mechanics, how will it be possible to take care of errands, duties that require the Pilot to wander around and about the Ship to get done over long and extensive flights ? I do not understand the decision to do without an auto-pilot at all.... to me it looks a VERY necessary mechanics, particularly for Long Ranged Ships which will more likely be capable of getting engaged in extensive and Long duration flights.....
