Fantastic work thus far devs. I've played now for a good few hours and am loving what you've done with 3.9 overall but specifically am impressed with food/drink and light survival mechanics. All the food shops finally now have a purpose. I actually want to explore each one in the verse and see what they offer (and what the various food items do in terms of buff/debuffs) I love that you've gone to the effort of giving different food various buffs (like to stamina or cognition) and that most of the ones I encountered made a lot of sense (watermelon increases your hydration as well as food, vitamin smoothy helps boost immune system, can't wait for diseases and poisons from flora/fauna btw) I have barely begun to scratch the surface of finding out which foods give what benefits (and sometimes drawbacks as I saw a Wham classic burger will dehydrate you) But this is exactly the reason I backed Star Citizen, to get lost in a massive universe and feel like I'm actually there. To have rich experiences based off of complex interacting systems that make new things possible. Can't wait for this system to be fleshed out even more. Obviously sounds need to match textures of different food types but I know that will come with time, as will other animations for eating certain types of food like ice cream. Also, please ignore the few haters who haven't yet come to terms with your vision. A huge number of us are fully in support of the direction the game is taking and we are loving every minute we get to exist in the verse! Great job and hats off to you for your outstanding effort. 3.9 looks and feels more alive than any other build I've played thus far. The snow covering my clothes when I went outside, the quick and easy removal of my helmet (via new wheel) the excitement of seeing a vibrant area like NB filled with NPCs and players going about their business (and some of them eating) Bravo/Brava and keep up the good work! P.S. I'm going to pretend that the "Long shot" at Elroy's is named after me.
