Dear CIG, Let this be a lesson that if you communicate properly, the community is much more understanding than you give it credit for. The reason part of the community are "noisy roadmap watchers" is generally because of your lack of communication. So they try to figure out what's going on without having the proper information and it leads to frustration. The letter from Chris did a great job in explaining the technical dependancies, that apparently it made sense for everyone that we will not see salvage in the next patch. Good job! Please continue to keep us updated on the progress, and don't go silent for 1-2 years if you face difficulties. The community is much more understanding of failures than you give it credit for. What we want is information on the progress and not be left guessing what's going on. Also, the community is hungry for seeing and hearing about technical progress. Please include this more in ISC, SCL, etc. We've seen enough about how artists design space stations and armor etc.
