I want real scavenging gameplay, not just salvage. I want to strip parts out of ships, fix them up and resell them. I want to pick through boxes of goodies left behind by other players. I want to pull helmets off of dead bodies again. Salvage as just plain, ordinary salvage isn't enough on its own. We were supposed to be cleaning up other people's ships left behind via full persistence. Don't tell me to cheer up because soon salvage materials will go into crafting, I don't want that either. I want to be a scavver rat picking through battlefields for goodies and pulling valuables off of cold corpses. I want treasure hunting back. Not only that, but CIG added missions that contract you to collect components and turn them in for a reward and they are completely USELESS. You can't even complete them. Every ship gets bricked, how are we supposed to turn salvaged parts in for the mission? Can there be some way to disable the bricked state of a ship when a player enters it's streaming bubble or interacts with it? Then, if they leave, it can be bricked again and the cleanup timer can start again. I get that the server needs cleanup but why does it have to be at the expense of fun sandbox gameplay. Also, we have dedicated FPS salvage tool and it is more useless than a fire extinguisher. Give me a reason to use that thing.
