Hi, Young (less than a year) and small backer here. Started with mustang which I upgraded in a gladius. Thought I would buy more ships because I realized after first pledge you can't do much just with one ship and to be honest a few ships really seemed cool like the Corsair and the Kraken. However after joining this community and reading a few things here and there I quickly felt something did not click properly in this project. Today I decide to quit. Most of you don't care but still wanted to show and express solidarity with long-time backers who have all good reasons to complain and be worried. If you're interested here are the key driver for my decision: First, I'm used to bugged alpha but I am not used to game that is still in alpha after 10 years, especially with this much budget. I am new so again I can't complain waiting. But history informs about the future. And looking at the 10-year trajectory of this game does not give me great expectations. When you want to go in space, you send your rocket 90 degrees opposite from the ground. Not 5 degrees. I love the ambition of this project. But I don't think it can ever be achieved within a reasonable time. Gravity seems to high. Second, when I joined there was a story with a roadmap of a roadmap. I couldn't fully understand the bottom of that thing. I was fairly neutral. Thought it's usual internet drama. But still it got me curious enough to dig into history of this forum. That's where I started to have lot of doubt on this project. Because not only it became very clear the project is under serious development issues, it appeared (which may be worse actually), that CIG think their backers are stupid and perhaps thinks too high of itself too as an organization. Now we have this new roadmap thing. I won't even go in details of my opinion. Most other post are enough to talk about it. But that's what put an end to my history in this project. Third all my friends talked to about CR a lot (wing commander etc.) but I never had a chance to see him except when he showed up in a show "Sandi and Chris checking in". I did not understand the purpose of that show. It was creepy. All I remember is when he said his daughters think the game is boring and he played "among us" or something like that with his family. Ciao and good luck citizens. NB: all gratitude to CIG staff, I realize it must be hard for you too. You're as much stuck in this thing as backers are. I have no doubt you're all hard-working on an individual level with lot of passion and talent. But putting the best 11 players in a team does not make you win the world cup. You need a good coach with a good tactic. You still have lot of fans in the stadium, please care at least to keep them coming. Just pay them some respect and they might chant again despite the last 10 seasons results.
